    would you please read the other posts?

    already did that, didnt worked.
    also makes no sense, because changing the path of the map into an bad value makes it "unable to load map", so the trigger works, even if its loaded after win.

    and like i said, switched it up, but did not work.

    EDIT: found out what was wrong.

    First of all, the map HAS to be in your installed game maps folder, not in your Documents.
    after that there is no "maps
    " needed unless itsn ot in an other folder inside of maps.

    im also out of ideas, because it should work.
    it has to be an issue with logging in or probably not yet implemented feature in the editor ...

    logically it makes sense, but it still does not work.

    also, i tried other path types and they failed into "unable to load map" so the trigger definitly works from there.

    hey.

    probably someone of you read my thread in the brainstormign section about Stargate.

    well, i thought about it again, and it is just easy as hell - or it should be.
    loading another map while serval conditions are true etc shouldnt be that hard, but it doesnt work.

    i have this simple stuff now.

        Events
            Unit - Any Unit Enters Region 001
        Local Variables
        Conditions
        Actions
            Game - End game in Tie for player 1 (Hide dialogs, Hide score screen)
            Game - Set the next map to "Maps\\mapname.SC2Map"
    

    the path should be correct, because if i change it, or remove the file extension it just blacks out with unable to open map.

    all now happens after entering the region, the map finishes - but im on the login screen.
    no map load. is this probably because its disabled or something? do i have to be logged in for this to work?

    any ideas?

    Hey gus. i was just thinking about something, and want to ask if this could be possible like i think it might be cool.

    Stargate - you probably know this tv series or even the movie from serval years ago.
    a gate creating a wormhole, that lets you travel to other planets connecte to the gate network blablabla.

    so i just had this idea..

    this would be an epic RPG game btw..
    there is the stargate center - the main base with the stargate on earth.

    so we create a map, thats the stargate center - nothing more. just the military base with the stargate. probably events on other planets trigger attacks, research etc. on the main base(map).

    you're able to dial the gate numbers to other planets from there.. it would be like the real tv series, u have to click your desired 7 (or 8?)chevrons, and if this "planet" exists, it opens the gate, you step through and it loads up the planet map.

    this would be infinite expandable.. just create another planet map, add it into the stargate center maps "planet adresses" and thats it.

    is this possible?

    what about returning to the stargate center, storing stuff, doing research, going onto another planet for x minutes, coming back taking something from the storage, and the research is probably finished (by minutes you played the other map..?)

    this idea could grow really big with a team of guys i think this - if its possible - will be just epic.
    if its an 3rd person rpg or an rts top down game doesnt matter, the possibilities to combine them is the key.

    create a space flight shooter for space missions aboard the stargate spaceships, fighting the goa'ould etc etc..

    hope someones able to tell if this is possible, and how hard it could be.

    ah no problem, you dont have to know it.

    it is or better was some time likely as popular as DotA (you know dota, right?) i think.

    its an WC3 map - 4 corners (as you can see on the screenshot), 3 players in each - so 4 forces of 3 players each.
    everyone has his "main" building where units spawn periodically and also they get a hero at the beginning.

    there are lots of items and receipts and stuff like auras etc. and the main goal is to kill all the other forces. (if youre main building is down, youre out of the game)

    youre able to tech your units to an next tier, like you start with (example with starcraft) zerglings, get 2 every 2 seconds (they just spawn around your main building) and if you made enough resources (by killing enemy units/heroes) you can tech your main building to something like hydras - 1 spawning each 2 seconds.

    hope i could explain it good enough.

    Good Evening.

    Probably there are people around thinking about this, creating such a map already or something else, but i didnt found nothing about it so i decided to start this one on my own. Footmen Frenzy 2.0.

    This will be a simple remake from the Footmen Frenzy.
    nothing very special, no funky 3rd person shooter wasd movement stuff or something, just the good old RTS gameplay type and Footmen Frenzy.

    What ive done yet is the terrain, basic concept of the race implementation and also finished the mechanics for main building spawning, upgrading them from T0 to tier1-3 plus dark units for Terran and Zerg.

    This thread is about 2 things.

    1. - finding some mappers/gfx artists that are not already involved in big projects (if you are and would like to help anyways, that would be okay as long as you are trustworthy), to make them join the "team" and help creating this map.

    2. - gathering informations and suggestions about things like heroes, items or features you would like to see in this SC2-FF.

    okay, so.. post here if you wanna see any features, have ideas for heroes or stuff like this.
    also if you are skilled in doing triggers, data editing or modeling (icons and item models, probably heroes later).

    i will use this thread to update on progress.. in fact this project is under construction i think its better placed here than in the showroom section for now.

    Hey guys.

    i need an simple solution for this problem.

    i tried to copy the morphing stuff from a spire or a hatchery, but it didnt worked like it should.

    here is what i have and what i need..

    i have an building (spawning pool) and added some buttons to its command card.
    what i want the building to do now is, to just disappear if i click that button, and replace it with an other one, like an hydralisk den.

    the hydralisk den has to be built with animation, but in like 5 seconds (okay, thats not the problem, i can do that)

    i ttried to "copy" the style a spire uses to evolve to a greater spire, like i said.
    the spawning pool then evolves but is 1. still there and 2. the pool and the spire are ONE building now, but there are 2 hitpoint bars.

    i just need it simple, like "if click that button remove unit X and add unit Y into that region" just that adding then ew one needs the build animation for it.

    any ideas how to realize that in an easy way?

    ahhh i just read the #3 post on that thread, because i didnt realized that there is more above it, and thought its meant the base files in starcraft2 - not on the map itself :D

    Hey Everyone.

    I Searched a while to find an answer on this, but i didnt found nothing that fixes it for real, so im creating this thread asking about it.

    the problem is that silly Language issue, where maps made by other languaged clients are fucked up on your game. hope you know what i mean, this param/value/blabla stuff everywhere where text should be..

    i read this has been fixed with the last Patch 11 - but it looks like it is not.

    i cant open any other map, and play it without having these param issue. now im close to release the first beta of my tankdef2.0 map, but im not sure if this issue is caused by me, and if im able to fix it. i dont wanna release a map thats not playable due to these problems.

    so is there an way to make the map playable for everyone else like including something in the script? is there any way to make other maps playable on my game?

    hope someones able to answer, because finding an real answer for this one was impossible.

    and yeah, my english is bad, im sorry :S

    im not sure about that melee map thing. there is no more "use map settings" in starcraft 2 like it was in broodwar. it looks like every map is now just automatically started with the settings.im not sure about it, sorry.

    to the grammar stuff.. like you said, it is understandable - not easy, but it works.

    words like "youll" or "dont" really dont make the difference, just because i forgot the '. youre able to understand them, so what?

    sometimes i probably forget some letters, thats because my keyboard is fubar - and im sorry for that. also creating logical english sentences isnt my best, i often use german sentence-builds while typing/speaking english, but even this is understandable.

    im sorry for that, i will try to find an grammar check for the next time ill post an tutorial.
