I like the non-system, "system".. whatever you will call it, a lot of random maps, ftw! Not exactly perfect but it beats nexus wars.

posted a message on Terrainer LF work.

I have been out of the loop for a month or so, with casualclysm comming out etc. But stuff is cleared now and I am returning back to mapping in starcraft 2. I am looking for a team, maybe two who got some interesting projects going and that I can provide with some terraining expertise. I will be hopeless when it comes to data editing and only around moderate with scripting. However I do excel in what I love to do, and that is plenty of big beatiful terrains.

What terrain the project need, and what the project is about, doesn't really matter much to me. The only thing I need is team members that doesn't quit halfway there and that works with atleast a bit of passion for the project in hand. I hate to put alot of hard work into a project without it actually becomming even half done. There are a few projects I want to avoid though, which is mainly TPS maps (sc2 is a terrible terrible shooter platform and we all know it) and maps that directly rips of other projects as DOTA etc.

Except that, size, complexity etc, is no obstacle for me, I also put in a few screenshot examples of some work I saved, not all of them are brilliant, but it was all I did save on the webpage before formatting for casualclysm.

    So for you consideration:

posted a message on Singleplayer maps?

I would totally agree with your last statement there. I have played a few singleplayer missions, and several of them gave me more joy playing than rubbish custom games on the first pages, were people just quite after 15 seconds and the game automaticly becomes ruined.

Having a epic usermade singleplayer campaign would be one of the wishes I would wish for... but yeah i guess with the popularity system in place, the creators of such maps woulnd't get any kind of attention compared to the few nexus wars copiers that gets to the front page on the popularity list.

I would also like to start such a campaign tbh, but I know if it is only me making up the stuff it'll end up an utter failure >.< wtb a team not fixed after popularity but one that goes after just spending some time creating a good singleplayer campaign :D

posted a message on Singleplayer maps?

Casualclysm is done and I now return back to sc2 in hope of playing some nice user made single player maps, but unfortunately there is none! I hate loosing in any kind of game, so that is why I tend to like single player maps and wow! But there simply is no single player maps for starcraft 2.

How come people aren't interested in making single player maps? I for one enjoy a good single player maps much more than I do playing random custom games. There is more marine arenas on mapster than there are single player maps.. qq. Single player maps isn't to hard to make and can be made quite brilliant when one only has to think of one player.

In any case I am just blabbing atm, my question would be, why are nobody interested in making some cool singleplayer maps like the campaign ones? Don't anybody find it funny to just relax with a single player map after a horrible day laddering? :(

I banged girls on the toilet until I was 20ish, then I started watching anime and hentai. Now girls are stupid uneeded IRL things without value!

Uhm.. wanted a better groundview, but the fog simply removes 90% of the terrain then, and donno how to turn it off :( qq

all of them epic! first one most though, since the cliffs isn't spoiled there :D

imo always a good thing to do a fixed height just on the edge of the cliffs so it doesn't look funny, but besides that pretty win, reminds me of warcraft III for some reason :D

posted a message on Concept map - Need input.

Interesting, obviously leaderboard will be implemented xD just a concept so far, but the other ideas are very good. The tournament idea is good, but donno if it would be "popular" enough to accually be worth implementing like 14 players.

and yes the 2vs2 4vs4 idea is really good and I want to make that, however I do not know how to make it so it would accually work good in such a map.

posted a message on Concept map - Need input.

The map is pretty simple concept map, but I need some more input to make it better. I made a little video to show how it works Sorry in advance for the horrible english.

    Embed Removed: https://www.youtube.com/v/iADAfjMtGNI?fs=1

Obviously the winner get's announced etc, It is not that much those thing I am after, more like: Scale of the map, army sizes, a good way to implament more players, could there be any cool events to spice things up? stuffz like that.

It is suprisingly fun to play, but I believe it could be alot better, I am not much of a brainstormer and not quite sure what will work with such a map. If you got any critism or ideas for a map concept like this, please leave a comment, it would be most appriciated!

posted a message on How you would improve this? (Newbie)

idd texturing the terrain is one of the most important things. try using a size 4-6 fragment brush with rocky texture on the cliffs. also try using size 16 brush and just click once random places with rocky/sand/dirt/cracks texture. It needs to be a bit messy to be beautiful!

posted a message on Nexus Trolls: The Anti-Popularity System League

if you really want to be anoying, which you want to be as far as I can tell. then just join nexus wars, 1 sec before the game starts logout and and login and repeat. 3-7 players will just be fucked and it is a legal way of making people hate the popularity system, well or atleast the maps in the top. Try getting 400 people to do it one evening, that could be pretty funny
