Hi, i need to create a LOT of objects in my map, and I guess units can't be the most effecte way to do that. So I tried to spawn actors, but I get "Could not create Actor" when I try that. So do you have any idea how to create something that could be used as a "trace" for units (think Tron!) which is very performance-effective ? I would even be satisfied with a 2d trace on the ground or something. Any ideas ?
edit: also any idea, how I can make an entire region visible ingame ? (a region containing several rectangles) And by visible i mean making it so that i can clearly see the regions outline(s)
Hi, i use this custom script on some units on my map, but it seems that it will still trigger, even after I removed the units from the map (via trigger) any help ?
dude, i LOVED that map in cod, this is an AWESOME idea, please continue work on this :D
If you want visual effects on a point then you should create custom actors with the animation, and add them to your attack (either via trigger or data editor, depending on how you currently do the attacks)
100 dynamically generated waves + basic solo td map layout and some basic triggers. I dont have the time to work on this right now, so i'm putting it out here so you guys can download & use it for your own purpose.
Wave count & composition can easily be changed. NO TOWERS. Creating towers is up to you ;)
Features:
Bounty (with bounty text above enemy heads)
Easy modification of wave composition
Anti-stuck
Elemental-TD-like layout
NO towers
edit: using the EU language version of the editor...might screw up strings
are the events, variables and actions defined in the actor field global - in a sense like the static class fields in OOP languages - or are they lokal ?

I'm kinda lost here. How do I create a weapon with several projectiles ? Also the weapon should be fired in a direction, not at a target. Any ideas ?

it's just problematic if a unit gets stuck or pathfinding spazzes, it's hard to know where the unit was when it stopped..
