    posted a message on StarCraft II - In-Game Cinematic/Machinima

Here is the first try at creating a StarCraft II cinematic based on the tech Blizzard used for their SCII Cutscenes. Since I haven't got the facial animations to work, I won't do a Tutorial on it right now. I'm not sure, but I think I'm the first to do this. Well, without further words, please enjoy.

Before I forget to mention it: You can put any of these cutscenes you recorded up front for your maps, so basically you're showing a cutscene similar to the campaign-stuff at the beginning of every mission.

She truly looks like she's a little drunk. And she could use some facial expressions.

I'm guessing we're going to see a lot of shooter projects with SC2, yours could turn out to be one of the few of higher quality. I'm currently working on one of the TSOF-Characters, using Nova as the basemodel (why waste your time creating a new one, when you can just use the one from blizz?) got a little problem though ... damn hair won't look good.

    Greetings,

Blind Raven Studios is now starting to recruit capable individuals for its project Terran Special Operation Force.

    We're currently looking for:

    2D Concept Artist
    3D Environment Artists
    3D Character Artist
    Level Designer

Please apply over on the forums - Blind Raven Studios - TSOF Forums

    What is TSOF?
TSOF is a dating back to the 'good 'ol days' of WarCraft III. We were one of the major FPS projects that were developed between 2007 and 2009. We dropped the project back when StarCraft II was announced and we realized we wouldn't be able to finish on time with our work. During the year between stopping development of the old project and the release of the StarCraft II Galaxy Editor we planned out what we wanted to do and what we'd throw away in our concept. We have started development of the project again in April 2010, when the Galaxy Editor was released. Within a week we established a basic techdemo of a shooter. Currently we're working hard on getting all the mechanics up and running again in the editor and testing out new things. We don't want to talk a lot about the story, characters and other things on the project yet, since we're still trying to find the boundaries of what we'll be able to do and we're still recreating some stuff. But our goal is to deliver a Third-Person-Shooter with a solid storyline that fits into the StarCraft Universe and leaves people with a "Wow, THAT was awesome!"-feeling.

Alright, let’s get down to business after all the sweet-talk. Here are some old WarCraft III demos as well as the old Tech-Demo video we released earlier this year.

    What do you offer?
We're offering you to take a part in one of the most interesting and biggest projects for StarCraft II you'll see around for the next few years.
BRS is aiming to have a friendly working environment where every voice is heard, but not every idea will be used. We're leading the team based on some of the game-industry’s concepts, but still try to maintain a healthy amount of mod-team enthusiasm.

You're interested? You want to talk about what you'll have to do? Other questions? Please, let us know, either on this thread or on our own forums.

    Yours sincerely,

We've already finished some basic controls. Only problem that remains is L&R MouseButton.
