    posted a message on [SOLVED] Creep tumor 'used' model/actor not displaying

    So what I WANT is this. (as seen in multiplayer)

    What I'm getting is this. (the one on the right spawned the one on the left)

    I know its due to using campaign dependencies. I've already tweaked a couple of things that worked ok (cooldown, charge, etc) But I have no idea how to get the 'used' model to appear. They all appear to be using the same model, so I'm not sure what it is that's causing the 'used' effect.

    I've tried doing a forum search, but there are SO MANY Creep Tumor threads, I can't actually find my exact problem.

    I know its going to be easy as hell, I just can't find it! :(

    Popularity likely dropped due to no one being able to play it. :)

    OMG yes! That is EXACTLY what I've only just started doing as it was so much easier!

    and MAKES PERFECT sense!!

    WTF >_< So what is happening exactly?

    So its applying things twice because it uses it by default on the test map, then uses it AGAIN because it is set as a dependency for said test map?!

    THAT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE.

    Just copying the relevant StarCraft 2 folders from my PC onto another PC shouldn't be a problem.

    Good to know it will work before I waste the time. Thanks guys :) Will give it a shot and get back to you just to confirm :)

    Tests are offline.

    Its probably related to the "two of everything" problem I'm having everywhere else. So its essentially running things 'twice' due to some weird dependency bug or something.

    I haven't looked at the splitterling again in a little while, but I'm going to reset the unit back to default (although I'm pretty sure I haven't changed anything other than the upgrade requirement validator for the splitterling spawns)

    I'll update the thread when I get anymore info. Thanks for taking the time to check though.

    Can the SC2 editor be run from an external drive? or run without having to install the full Starcraft 2 game?

    am wanting to do data editing while I have free time at work, but highly doubt I'll be able to install Starcraft 2 on the machine.

    Oh.... so you mean make them undefined and move them 'down' (below) the new buttons I make? Sorry, I think I misunderstood. Thought you meant just not use that space on the command card at all.

    I always change the button on the command card to the correct train ability value.

    How do I set them to undefined?

    On this note, I've noticed this happening with more and more units now.

    It seems any Campaign units that are originally listed in the campaign train abilities

    Ie. Larva -> Swarm Story, spawn 2. This happened ever since I added the Swarm Multi dependency. (I did this after reading one of your posts SoulFilcher).

    So I guess I could either ditch the Swarm Multi dependency (and risk problems when using it as an extension), which I don't really want to deal with OR I'm going to have to create Unique Train abilities for all of the additional units I'm going to want to reuse, which is a total pain.

    Hey guys,

    So I tried the following.

    • Moved the Warhound Train command from 08 to 16 on the Train Factory ability. - No luck.
    • Physically moved the icon/button on the Factory UI. - No luck.
    • Created an entirely new duplicate of the Train Factory Ability, created a new command on a different command space to the Warhound on the default Train. - WORKS!
