I don't know if everyone is avoiding the question, because I refuse to believe that there is no way of finding a solution to this problem. I have two forum threads for this: one in this site and the other in Battle.Net forums. Please, anyone?
You should never hide the BattleNet 2.0 social button. That is kind of critical as people might have important conversations running at the time. For example I often check my messages and chat rooms for any messages.
The others are less critical to not hide. However you should always give people access to the menu somewhere.
Are you sure you cannot move them somewhere that would be less intrusive? Maybe a corner of the display? Corners usually have the least attention devoted to them due to the nature of human sight.
What I'm making is a mod that is not dependent online. I don't need the social button. Check the signature link below my thread. It will take you directly to my project. Besides, the Esc key also grants access to the pause menu. Have you not heard of hotkeys?
I'm trying to figure out how to hide the UI that I marked with the red circle in the image below. I can hide UI with triggers, I know; but which UI is this? It's not "Menu Bar", nor is it "Battle UI". None of that worked. How can this be done? Please, may there be a response to this.
Wait. I just noticed something. Every time I open the map in the editor, it asks for my Battle.Net username and password. Can any of that somehow be connected to the problem?
Do you mean a custom map you are working on or from someone else? If you try to open a map made by someone else and they set the game to locked you will be unable to open it.
No, it's my own. A working project really. Went to test map. From there, the map can be saved and loaded; but now I can't because of the error message I just mentioned.
I'm not sure if this is the right place, but I have a problem. I have this custom map that I saved, but I am unable to load it. It keeps saying "unable to open saved game". Does anyone know how to fix this or what causes this sort of thing to happen?
Now, I don't want any responses saying "I have the same problem", "I don't know how to fix this". or "the problem exists at my end". I don't care if you have the same problem; I just want a positive answer from someone who knows how to fix this. Surely there's got to be a way?
This problem I present to you is technically a UI issue because it interferes with my custom UI, as well as my third person controls. Every time I save and then load a third person map, the cursor starts showing; and the controls go all buggy. There has to be a setting within the Galaxy Editor's UI editor. There is one, right? Is there any way to fix this? No one in the Battle.Net forums know anything.
Your suggestion on GIMP has been accepted, as it appears to be useful. If you look at the main picture (very top one) of this forum, you will see that the title on the mod's main menu is no longer transparent. There is no longer a need for transparency because there is no black background behind the title.

Oh, please. Does anyone not have a straight answer?

Well, I think I fixed the problem. It has to do with dependencies not cooperating with each other, no other way of explaining it.

Coming soon my ass. It's been four years already.

Okay. Why do I get the feeling that everyone had already tried this but failed?

Sorry it's been so long. This project is going to take longer than I thought. Due to a few criticisms about the HUD, I decided to update it.
If anyone still doesn't like it, I don't care. This is my mod.

Hold that thought please. I may be onto something. I think I found a way. The image had to be exported into the different format.

Okay. Now I don't see how GIMP can be possible. It does not support .dds or .tga formats.
