Are there any accurate tutorials that can show me how to create this specifically for a custom hero? I don't even know how to create one of these at all. They used the same exact thing for Nova Covert Ops, but I can't access any of their maps through the Galaxy Editor in order to figure out what triggers they used.
You know that UI trigger that allows you to display a text crawl? Well, I'm using the Legacy of the Void dependencies for my maps; and the text crawl is always looking like the Protoss ones from the game. I remember the Terran text crawls from Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm. What happened to those? How do I get back the Terran text crawls?
I know that this forum is old, but don't mind me dropping in. You all said that this project was not dead. That was four years ago now, so has it been cancelled? It shouldn't have to take any longer if it isn't.
It's been a long while since your last thread. If the Terran Campaign for the StarCraft 1 remake is complete, then where's the link for it? Also, has there been any other news of progress?
Banks are the sc2 version of caches and they are the only way to save data on the player. There are a lot of tutorials on here about them just look on the wiki if you need help with them.
Just found a couple of tutorials on YouTube. Looks very interesting.
Speaking of interesting, I noticed something in Heart of the Swarm. After you just complete the first mission where Kerrigan escapes from Umoja, there's the scene where Raynor runs into Nova. If you kill Tosh in Wings of Liberty, she will thank Raynor for killing him. If Tosh lives in Wings of Liberty, she will say that Raynor had let him live. I'm thinking that there was a value in a bank for Wings of Liberty, either a boolean or an integer; and so the bank and its value were saved and opened for Heart of the Swarm. Otherwise, if no one had made it that far in Wings of Liberty, one of the two values would have been the default value.
I believe anything is possible. In the editor for Warcraft III, you could create a game cache or whatever you call it in order for data from one map to be saved and then have that data being transferred to another map after let's say "mission completion". That of course was for creating a custom campaign. Now, can that sort of thing be done in the editor for StarCraft II? As I look at the trigger types, I see something called a bank. Is it anywhere similar to a game cache?
Not sure if this is UI related. You can move this thread if it isn't. I'm trying to create a custom hero unit with his status bar above his head, but I don't know how to accomplish that. Here, I have a screenshot. In the picture is an example of what I'm referring to. I need instructions step by step on how to accomplish this, unless there's a tutorial I can borrow.
There's no death animation. In the editor, or maybe some file-extracting program, is there a way to extract animation files belonging to another model?
What do you mean, every time it leaves the winrar folder???
btw, you CANNOT extract everything from HotS at once since some files seem to crash the CASC viewer, other than that, it should work perfectly, please check my tutorials for more details.
T.
When I pull the CASC application file out of the WinRAR archive, the file disappears from my desktop just a couple of seconds later.

Too bad. It looked like a mod I wanted to try out. Has anyone tried to make any mods similar to this one?

I want just the "Unit Name" box. How do I get that only? Every time I try to make it separate, it never shows on the screen.

Well, no worries. I figured it out.

Is there a tutorial for what you just said? I'm confused.

@TaylorMouse: Go
And TaylorMouse, I was also looking for a model of a fully armored Jim Raynor in his Vulture. Why is that no longer there? I wanted it.

Yes, I'm dragging the files out, while the extraction button is doing nothing.

Okay. I got the model and textures, but there appears to be no animation. The animation is in a file of some kind. How do I assign it to the model?
