I would like to activate a button (in the control panel) via a trigger. The button is linked to a target effect ability, and i want the player to be able to target, once the button has been activated.
To make the thing clear, let me explain what i want to do. I am working on an extension mod for advanced controls. One feature is to have a shortcut for active creep tumors. When the shortcut is pressed, the active creep tumors are selected, and the camera cycle on all the active tumors. I would like the trigger to « press » the SpawnCreepTumor button (linked to the CreepTumor-Build ability), and let player target the point where the CreepTumor-Build ability will be triggered.
I am working on an expansion mod, to apply on any melee map.
I have questions about the dependencies to choose when I create a new mod. I do not understand it very well.
I own the 3 extensions (WoL, HotS, LotV).
I would like that any player could use my mod, whatever extension he own or play.
If I choose LotV dependency, do a player who only own WoL be able to play with my mod ?
If I choose WoL dependency, will my mod be available for players playing LotV melee maps ?
Or do I have to publish several mods for the different players ?
either create a dialog with triggers (dialog + dialog item of type button + set hotkey of dialog item) or use UI-editor with <shortcut val="H"/> for a button you add wherever you want.
Thank you very much for your answer.
If I use the UI-editor to create the button, can I link the button to an ability in the data editor ? Or does it have to be attached to a unit ?
I have create an ability for refinery/extractor/assimilator to saturate harvesters on a simple click.
My problem is that i don't know how to prioritize targets. I would like to make idle workers been prioritized, but if not enough idle workers are here, to apply effect to some other workers.
I have found the « target sort » field, but don't know how it work.
The problem is that the action « Dialog - Display image » do not have a player field.
So i can't use it to show the image to the specific player.
As it is now, the alert is displayed to all the players when a player is close to supply blocked.
So, do I have to use a dialog or i there any other solution ?
I am working on a mod witch will give a visual alert when the player is close to supply block.
The alert is given by a pulsing image (no dialog).
How can i make the image only appear for a specific player ? (The one who is close to supply block).
