    Greetings everyone, I just had an Map idea going through my mind and would like to ask how hard it would be to pull it off for a Newcommer(No prior mapping knowledge) what i need for the map is:

    Add an Abillty/S that fires a projectile in a line(direction selected by clicking with the mouse) that explode if it connects to a Wall or something

    Give that Abillty an hotkey(Y/Z if using QWERTZ Keyboard for example Y should be the hotkey and if USING

    QWERTY it should be Z)

    Remove and Replace the Abillty with another one if that player kills someone else.

    Draw Kill Messages(i.e. Player X killed Player Y)

    Keep Track of Kills(Leadboard)

    Victory condition if a player reaches a certail Kill amount

    Selectable Unit Window at start(Diffrent Unit with Diffrent stats i.e More Speed less Health)

    Random Spawn locations(Fixed locatons but Randomly slected) at start and if killed

    Remove Normal Attack

    Random Powerups spawned on the map(again at fixed locations but randomly selected i.e Unlimted Health,Double Damage)(?)

    Sooo how hard would that be for me a Mapping Noob? Are there tutorials on the things i need that you can recommend?

    So i decided to ditch my current idea for something a litte easier i guess. My new new idea is

    4 Player Defnece Map against Zerg

    1. Every Player Controlls a Hero he/she can choose
    2. Players Must Defend Nuke Silo(Ghost Academy) fror x amount of time
    3. Players earn minerals by killing zergs and can hire merc etc.
    4. Players earn gas by killing boss waves and can buy special stuff with it DMG UP,Armor UP etc
    5. Zerg Spawn over waves
    6. Selectable Diffculty which change the lenght(easy 30 min,normal 45 min,hard 60 min)

    I guess this is alot Easier since Waves Spawn from Simply 4 directions and try to attack the Nuke Silo Still there is the Hero Coding.

    Thanks for your fast anweser and good news that it would not really be "that hard" i was prepared that it will take time to learn this stuff. You might not be able to post tutorials that you would recommend?

    Greetings and Sorry for the long title, I'm really intrested in creating a map but i don't know where to start really other then the terrain. I have no knowledge in any map creating or anything but here is my idea:

    4 Player Survival Map against Zerg spawn

    1. Every Player Controlls a Hero he/she can choose
    2. Players can move freely over the terrain and just need to Survive
    3. Players can find minreal pickups to setup Barricades
    4. Players can find meachine parts(Gas) to build a bombs/towers to help them survive.
    5. Zerg Spawn in a 45 Sec(?) countdown and will hunt the player
    6. Waves get harder and harder

    So my question now is how hard it would to make this work for a guy like me with no knowledge in mapping.
