But considering most of my projects were abandoned and probably won't see the light of day, and the fact that I'm getting mighty tired of data work, my main contribution to sc2 community is as an artist. So "wasting" my time for a few of these won't be bad.

    EDIT: Just remember Blizz said all BW units will appear in LotV. We know at least some will, like dragoons. If that's true some of those may not be needed after LotV release.

    eh.. if you dude think that blizzard models will eliminate the need for a dragoon, then you're not getting the point of modding.. at least from my perspective.. dunno if i'm right or wrong, but i am getting annoyed by some people's unhelpful attitude

    I really wish there's something like a magos model editor.. but for sc2.. downgrading blender so i can use something really doesn't feel right to me..

    anyway.. the double-mesh i saw on the Phoenix.. is that really how they did it? just hiding one mesh and showing other when the phoenix uses graviton beam? O.o

    Thanks mate :) anyway i checked up the obj, and it looks like it has duplicate meshes, one of which is some.. n-gon? I'm gonna try to clean that up. and the mesh is red XD what's that tint about?

    anyway, do continue talking about blender's converter, would it actually work on my version? which i posted above

    If you have sc2 editor you can export the stuff yourself. Just go to the texture viewer and hit ctrl+E on the necessary texture.

    There is a community addon for blender that allows use of the default .m3 and .m3a sc2 model formats.

    well yes, that's what doesn't work for me.. the converter >.> believe me, i wouldn't ask if stuff was working..

    EDIT: or i just don't have a clue what to do in sc2 modding..

    eh, could anyone export Protoss Phoenix mesh and diffuse texture for me? so i can have something to tinker with..? just obj and dds files

    I use Blender and just tinker with meshes, have no clue how to mod sc2.. yet

    I'll have this bumped whenever i need something to tinker with, if that is okay :b

    It's "look at" behavior, and could be a nice feature for 3d turret, bit it possibly the most bugged thing in the whole sc2, I fucked with it all day to make it work.

    well.. I have sent you one PM before, but.. i don't really want to bother if you're not interested.. oh and don't mind me poking a bit at people, i just want to get to know you guys and get a few things done.. sc2 is definitely a lot different than what i'm used to at Hive

    If you mean those rainbow flares on shell faces, it's environment map's effect, it "slides" along the surface while view angle changes, and supposed to fake that model reflects surrounding stuff. I just used rainbow texture.

    No i really meant about that big tank that was actually aiming up and down, depending on targeting a zergling or an air unit.. that would feel perfect on my model too..

    Couldn't hand-draw normals, because details were too small, there's also some uv-mapping imperfectnesses, but after all it looks unbad.     and.. 3ds max needs to be bought..? sorry guys, but i'm used to war3 and its easy-to-use tools. and as far as i know, there is no such thing for sc2 yet..

    it'll be really, really much better if someone handles the rigging and other-than-diffuse textures for me..
