Yeap... I knew this reminded me of something ...
In reply to EDHRIANO:
We are already talking about a possible followup next year considering we had more participation than expected; granted, we had no idea what to expect. Question to anyone who participated or thought about participating: If we tried to do this twice a year, would that be too frequent for folks to try to make anything?
As much as I want it. Making a map requires a lot of time (especially in SC2).
It must be counted:
- The history
And the worst of all ... Feedback (It takes a long time to receive something from someone)
All these factors collide with the obstacle of life.
Does once a year make more sense?
Although it hurts ... yes. At least to me.
I would be interested in crowdfunding for some actual rewards for next time, would that inspire anyone else to join in?
I suppose. But I guess it must be a good one for people to take the time to use the editor (whatever it is)
I also need to consider a better way to link up closer with the WC community over at Hive as I feel we missed an opportunity to get them better involved for more WC submissions.
That would be great. There was very little material for WC3
Lastly, we may consider a theme next time if only to ensure we confine folks to the submission window as there was no way to do so this time. Considering the extremely low stakes, I don't see any real problem with that, but we'll need to account for it in the future if we can provide real rewards tiers.
- The map is in shadows. For total black Map Properties Grey Mask to Black Mask
- The nexus for you reinforcements don't star construction
- Mineral / Vespen and Supplies dont apeard
- The reinforcements are allies? Is not clear because they don't help you in the advance.
- Deselect unit in the cinematics
- Final cinematic don't activate when you kill the hybrid.
Just a thing
-The first cinematic is to short and is not really a got intro to your campaign. Maybe show when Alarak separate the Daelam of the Taldarim o a discussion with Artanis.
- Also Alarak speak to with care of his troops. He doesn't give a shit about his troops. He only care for the price.
Good star for your campaign
- I love The "clean area" thing. Very good.
- The voice of your units is great
How characteristic are your projects, the times and you know they are from Edhriano.
-Before the Titan I died several times, but the game did not trigger defeat and marked as complete the survival target.
- However, it marked defeat when the titan killed me.
As I mentioned not so long ago, I'm completely reworking a new angle for Time Splitters mission 3.
The former placeholder for the mission didn't feel like a good fit for the placement in the campaign and the direction of the mission.
Hereby I would like to take a moment to show off the work in progress of new mission 3 I've dubbed: Bionical.
It will further develop the Talon subfactions (planned along with the next one: The Autonomous Sword)
Hope the scenery is to a liking.
Progress is going well. Few triggers remain before I begin testing/balancing and start working on the concluding cinematic.
I do expect I will be quite busy in late-December, so I'm either looking at a release in early December if we're lucky, or else early next year. Hoping for this year tho!
Stay tuned ~
Small Update on Mission 04 : Highway to Hell
It is complete, currently testing the mission for bugs and perhaps to polish it up some more.
Special Thanks to WingedArchon for Bay Ar new model.
So, it finally happened. Mission 22 has officially been released and is ready for your enjoyment.
You can download the mission here.
Estimated playtime including cutscenes: 1,5 hours
Because of some computer issues, I was forced to reinstall everything, so haven't had editor available. But now, everything's fixed and I will continue development of the next mission.
Terrain is just about 60% done. Once it's finished, I'll make a short terraining showcase video as I've done before.
Hello there sc2mapster, how are you?
Noir : Evolution is my 4th project single player custom campaign for starcraft 2.
I've release the mission launcher and the Prologue / Pilot map of the campaign
Please share what you think about the map [but please be gentle].
Is it too easy or too difficult, what you like, what you don't like.
Or perhaps you find an error / bug that I might have missed out.
I will try to fix it soon as possible
Have fun .
Set 7 months after the final event of Noir : Automata.
The Purifiers war is now over, the last of the Purifiers are either destroyed or soon will be.
The three race now begin rebuilding their home and their cities.
Deep in the Theta Quadrant , where planet Zerus home of the Primal Zerg lies.
On the 3rd planet from their Sun where the long abandoned moebius facility where they used to gather fresh specimen to furher improve their Hybrids program.
Inside one of the hybrids chamber long thought dead, life begin to flickers.
Note : The plot is subject to change.
Loving the story of this campaign! While I only release 2 videos a week, I couldn't help myself and ended up playing through map 8. If I could give one major piece of feedback (which you'll hear me talk more about in the videos), it's to utilize the Mission Objective text a bit better to clarify what to do. In many cases it requires a counter, like Muraveys and Chenkovs in the subway, or sacrificed units - adding a counter to the objectives text would help the player not have to keep track.
Overall, incredibly unique and engaging story that reminds me a lot of the old Legacy of the Confederation story.
