Now imagine you living in a 3rd world country and are crazy to play a game. I'm ok with dividing into regions or zones, but when you region-lock, this is segregation. It's just wrong.

    2. All platforms on Blu-Ray- Yes i want the next playstation AND Xbox on blu-ray, lets be honest it holds 50 Gigs, I hate this 2 disc xbox shit. :P

That's not gonna happen because Blue-Ray is slow. Flash drivers will be the best choice. Cheap versions of a 80 gb flash drive read-only. We will be back to the old cartridge.

Bug reports would definitely fill the banks. The only thing you can really store like that is counters. What you can have is an integer that counts the number of bug reported for each area. When the player types -bug, it gets a list of possible bugs, ex:

    1 - Bug with hero X

    2 - Bug with minerals

    3 - Bug with attacks

    4 - Other bugs

    and so on.

Then, if the player types -bug 2. You increment the integer for bug with minerals.

So, by spreading data like a ranking system, you would have something like

    Total bugs with hero: 2

    Total bugs with minerals: 23921

    Total bugs with attacks: 7

Based on those numbers you can guess there is probably a bug with the minerals and start searching for it.

some things could be cool indeed. I would really like to see ingame statistics too like which hero people mostly use or what content they play. I could save this to banks, but no way to get the data from all banks.

    cough

Yes you can get that data from banks, similar to a ranking system. Instead of 3 players in the top ranking, you have 3 heroes for example. You give 1 point to each hero everytime someone picks it and save the new ranking to everyone's bank. You don't show that to anyone. You always spread the highest rank. It won't be perfectly accurate, but it will for sure be an underestimation of how much everyone picked each hero, and the numbers will be high enough for an accurate prediction.

on a serious note: i'm not sure there is a "good" attitude/thing to say as a parent when it happens (having been on both side of the issue)

yeah, I'm not sure either. What I would do is just ignore, pretend I didn't see, or its not my concern, or is no big deal. Too much talk = THIS IS A BIG DEAL = possible shame

I really disliked the first chapter, would I enjoy the others? They sound a little better. MI3 was probably my fave.

Well, yeah. I'm on chapter 5 right now. Chapter 1 wasn't that fun. Chapter 2 is in the mermaid village. There's another boring jungle, you might not find that chapter much fun if you didn't like the first. Chapter 3 inside the Manatee was fun. There is some creative puzzles. I loved the voodoo one where you have to play with the tarot cards to make spells based on the combination of images. You have to get out of the giant Manatee and then help him to procreate with a female. The credits above is from chapter 3. Chapter 4 is in court. I laughed so hard when Stan shows up as the lawyer (if you don't know, Stan is a character that follows a motto "A.D.B: Always Do Business." So, he starts a different business in every game). The chapter was okay when you are already into the story. Then you die and chapter 5 is in hell. I just started that one.

MI3 definitely had one of the most creative puzzles. That was a great game. They released a special edition of the first and second, which is the whole game redone with new technology (even for iphone). I'm still waiting them to make a special edition of MI3.

To those who have never played it, try MI3: The Curse of Monkey Island or MI4: Escape from Monkey Island.

This is "Tales of Monkey Island" It's a new one recently released. The plot is quite good. Telltale might some bad game designers, but they have amazing script writers, video producers, sound editors, and all other artists. I play more as watching a movie in bed than as a game. You can play entirely by mouse, so I can just lay down, put the screen on the TV, and use a wireless mouse. One chapter is inside a whale. One chapter is in court. One chapter is in hell (yeah, you die). Le'Chuck is now Guybrush's best friend. The villain is a mad French scientist (who is not French). And a lot more about the Voodoo lady is revealed... I'm not going to spoil.

I think the best to start Monkey island is with the special edition of the first one. The special edition was released recently and is just the old version with new sound and graphics (it's on Steam).
