I've shown this map before a while back but it matches with the WTE since it was originally when I wanted to retell some of SC2. I've since changed it to fit with my new campaign idea.
It's one of Aiur's moons and the theme is supposed to show how mystical is is and then what happens when the Zerg dig in and destroy the land.
Yeah I lurked a lot back in the SC1 days lol. I mostly try not to post things on the internet too because I'm terrible at arguing with people. :D
Well as far as the texturing goes you clearly have a pretty wide imagination and that's the most important thing. I'm sure you'll be a master at that soon enough.
Damn near as good as Blizzard's model? I think they are starting to realize how efficient kitbashing is since they're now kitbashing most of their new unit models too. Makes me happy :)
Isn't Tosh a hero? I'm a bit confused. I did try to create a Breakout-style mission once where two players could work together, one as Nova and the other one as Tosh, but I never finished it (it wasn't very good).
Ooops I meant player 1 as Tosh and player 2 as Raynor's units.
That sounds really cool. I always thought the Tosh mission from WoL would be cool co-op with one as the hero and the other as Tosh. Also an invasion type map would be awesome one player micros the invasion units and one builds bases and send drops or something.
I did Tassadar using the most recent of Nintoxicated/Leruster's importer before you made yours I believe. As long as only the import mesh and vertex normals options are checked some of the models can be loaded up. There are no animations I just rigged him to the preserver. As far as the textures go I just used the preserver material and switched it to Tassadar's textures and applied it to the mesh.
Honestly I don't think you're going to find people to release Heroes assets here. Messing around with that stuff personally is one thing but using the assets in a game is ban territory. Just wait until blizzard actually releases the full game and you'll be fine.
Should probably note I won't be releasing anything until HoTS either comes out or we find out they will release assets I don't want anyone getting banned.
Some select models can be imported using the m3 importer if you only have import mesh and vertex normals selected. Finding the textures is hard though. Not to mention sorting through the models. But I've almost got Tassadar skinned to the preserver I just have to find the normal and specular maps.

Uhhh... Are you trolling? Because it took me about 20 seconds to find the WC3 assets in the PTR.

By the way those models look spectacular!

I can imagine just taking a WoW or WC3 ship and attaching it to a carrier or a flying ship would give it a decent animation with the floating and all.
I have an admittedly sketchy tutorial on the basics of kitbashing if you want to give it a shot. http://www.sc2mapster.com/forums/resources/tutorials/57791-tutorial-sc2-kitbashing-in-3dsmax/

Yeah it's tough finding the ones you want it took me a couple of hours to find Tassadar's textures, not to mention finding the mesh.
