    Although I've never been in the military, I have some basic knowledge about how soldiers are supposed to behave in battle. It doesn't involve staying idle when paratroopers are falling from the sky. A civilian might be shocked and stay frozen in place, but these marines are supposed to be trained, if not brainwashed. The cinematic is visually awesome and the Terran portrayed in the cinematic don't make very realistic soldiers. What, can't the cinematic be great in some aspects and somewhat lacking in others?

    Also, as someone said, this is the opening cinematic, aka the beginning of the story. It is not a commercial.

    The marines in the Brood War introduction were not from the Earth, the UED refer to them as the colonists. But yes, these were more convincing.

    Well, I think there is the fact that the Terran soldiers don't look particularly professionnal during the battle. The siege line is fine (well, they would have spread far more than that in real life but that's no big deal) but the marines don't look particularly worried to have a leviathan about their heads, turn slowly when a nydus worm pops in their back, and the viking pilot is just an idiot.

    I personnally like the cinematics, it's just something that slightly disturbed me and that other people noticed as well.

    Well you are playing hard mode, aren't you? The point is that it should be challenging, or we wouldn't have put two difficulties at all.

    Rightly so :p Omega is the hardest of all. How did you find To Slay the Beast (map 8 ) as far as difficulty goes?

    I don't think mass zerglings will work in map 4, firebats are too powerful against them. If you have trouble against tanks, you should probably make more ultras and queens (for spawn broodlings).

    Ultralisks/hydralisks/infested terrans is how I do it. Infested terrans are good at destroying bunkers and sunken colonies, hydralisks are good because they cost little vespene, and ultralisks are only there to be shot at by the marines. Air costs a lot of gas for what it is.

    If enemy ultralisks are trouble, you can use infested terrans and/or queens to thin their numbers. The map is mostly a matter of macro, you need to take your expansion quickly and spam units until you can push.

    I've added ZergX04, ZergX08 and a new version of ZergX03 to a dropbox folder called "Telenil's maps". ZergX03 had very little change, we only added a trigger that saves the number of infested command centers you have and bring them to the next map.

    We are making big scrolling credits for the end of ZergX10. Just to be sure there is no misunderstanding: when I will send you that particular map, you can add any name you like to the part called "Italian version", but you are not to touch the rest of the list. No problem with that?

    Some sort of Arcade specific dedicated to custom, single players campaigns. Preferably with the ability to save the game.

    Cool. Is it possible to have the same thing with the regular UED symbol? From what I could find, the picture you've taken was made by some fan on the Internet, it was not something created by Blizzard, so it would be a little weird to put it as it is in our remake. Also, is it possible to set which flag the UED one replaces? The Korhal City flag is used in fewer maps than the others, but we do have a level where we see an UED-occupied Korhal.

    Hello there,

    I am currently working on the final episode of the Brood War remake on Starcraft 2, and we found there are a number of Dominion propaganda posters and flag. There is no UED flag or equivalent in game, so I'd like to know if an artist out there could make one. I'm looking for something similar to the Korhal flag doodad (screenshot attached), only with the UED symbol instead of the Dominion symbol and colours.

    The UED decal as created by TooMuchTouch (with an in-game screenshot) is attached.

    There is no problem if you give me Italian maps really. I can do whatever balance changes I want to make on the Italian maps, send it back to you, and then use the sounds from Chrisdaugherty's original maps to put everything in English.

    Hello, did you play the map in Normal or Hard? How would you describe the difficulty of this map with respect to other difficult maps like the final UED level?

    To clarify, the version in this thread is the latest *Italian* version. The Italian maps themselves are not a direct translation of the original mod, it is more a spin-off. The Italian team wanted to make some modifications to the maps, and we didn't have any objections to that, provided it remains in their language.

    I wasn't aware that the Italian maps and mods had been updated, do you want me to upload the newest version on sc2mapster?

    The only existing version of the SC1 campaigns mod are hosted on this site. However, the campaign mod itself was based on the "original" SC1mod by Maverck, I think you can download Maverck's latest version on Battle.net.
