Thanks to VastanX's feedback, a new version has been added. This should fix all of the issues he pinpointed, along with a minor thing I noticed upon testing the map again.

    Patch Notes:

    • Fixed an issue causing a sound effect during the final cinematic to continue playing at unintended times.
    • Hydralisks will no longer become unavailable if the player only has a Lurker Den.
    • Fixed an issue causing the 7th and following Leviathans to not have attack waves activated.
    • The final cinematic will no longer occur twice after the first.

    In reply to VastanX:

Music can bug out occassionally. All I can advise you is to restart the mission and try to see if it works then.

    I forgot to mention:

Please note that cameras during cinematics are currently bugged due to the latest patch, so they may move in an irregular fashion or outright cut straight to where it was supposed to end up after a couple of seconds of moving. Just to let you guys know, I am aware of this, but it is unfortunately not an error on my part!

    Enjoy the map!

posted a message on Editor Bug: Camera All Screwed Up Now

I have the same issue. I posted a thread a while ago, and also made a ticket to address the problem directly. They told me that they would forward the message to the experts and look into its fix as soon as possible.

So, Patch 3.13 fixed the editor issues again, so work has resumed.

At this rate, this campaign will be done in 2025. :D

So I haven't posted anything about Mac Editor issues lately, mainly because I feel like I'm not posting much of anything else these days. But since I've now gotten a couple PM's regarding my inactivity, I thought I'd update y'all before more people message me XD

As with every other patch since LotV, patch 3.12 broke my editor again, so I'm completely unable to even start up the program. As you'd imagine, this is not ideal when making a map. As soon as the problem is fixed, I'll mention it again. With the announcement of a new Co-Op commander, hopefully Blizzard will fix the problem soon.

I was worried about the hiatus you had months ago but i am glad you came back with this intense mission, it kicked my ass like -The Ringed City- is kicking it right now

I'm glad to hear that! Upon release, I was worried if it would be hard enough considering what you've just faced in Mission 17. I have another intense mission for you coming in about 2 weeks :P

All enemy bases without minerals in them are areas that aren't supposed to be taken, so that's a good way to indicate if you should avoid it or not.
The Battlecruiser AI generally targets enemies with high health, so I assume that's why they focused Krayen. If you had more Ultralisks, I find they tend to attack those more, since they have more health.
Funny how ultralisks didn't work for you. Fully upgraded Ultralisks with Hydralisk support and Queens to heal is the only thing I need to do this mission. I found that because of the extensive AoE, particularly from Ravens, I lost too much of my army, while Ultras could tank the hits more effectively.
Glad to hear about some use of the Creeper Swarm Hosts. I was hoping someone would realize they're effectiveness in this mission :D

I've wanted to showcase a map from scratch to the finished product. I had intended to do that with Mission 18, in fact! When I got to the terraining part, though. I decided to do quite a bit of reworking of the map layout so I didn't have much of a plan and thought it wasn't worth recording.

It's also quite a big time investment, and a lot of editing afterwards to put it together. But it was fun to do, so I'll probably make more of these, and perhaps even a full map at some point :D

So, I decided to record myself terraining Mission 19 just for fun. This footage took place over 1 hour.

No spoilers in the video, you only see a small portion of the map.

I've released a new major update patch.

Based on the feedback for Mission 18, I've released a new version featuring a number of changes. All changes can be found below or in the map file for individual mission packs.

Also, thanks to user JayborinoPlays showcase of the mission, I have found a few bugs and minor details that I've gone ahead and fixed as well.

    https://www.sc2mapster.com/projects/starcraft-ii-annihilation-campaign/files

    Patch Notes:

    • A13, A18: Overseers are now flagged with "Army Select", allowing them to be selected when pressing the "Select Army" button.
    • A18: Krayen will no longer show the visual effect of Metamorphosis while in a cinematic.
    • A18: Fixed an issue causing the model for Mutalisks and Hydralisks to remain on the Lurker/Impaler cocoons and Viper Cocoons as the units were morphing.
    • A18: A number of grammatical errors have now been fixed.
    • A18: Krayen now has proper facing during the intro cinematic.
    • A07, A12, A13, A14, A15, A16, A17, A18: Fixed an issue causing Heroes to dissapear upon the start of a cinematic due to them being inside a any form of transport before the cinematic was initiated.
    • All Missions: Fixed an issue causing the "Building Armor" upgrade to affect Perdition Turrets and Tech Reactors twice.

I noticed Hydralisks and Mutalisks don't swap to the campaign variants for whatever morph you choose for them, I guess this is intentional but is it the root of the model issue?

I think so, yes. I just decided to keep the original units so I don't have to edit through those additional units. I did manage to fix the model issue, though, however, there's still no timer when you morph into Vipers or Lurkers/Impalers.

Almost forgot, can you add Overseers to be selected with F2?  Currently, they don't get snagged and I'm not good at the game to have them follow me around without Select All :)

Of course! It is already on my list. CybrosX let me know as well. :P

    Mission 18
    - When the mutalisk evolves, the cocoon model appears, but the mutalisk doesn't disappear.

    - Swarm host: The ability to bury is activated, but the model is not that of the swarm host buried.

Besides that, for me it's perfect.

I did notice the Mutalisk problem. Unsure how to fix it as of yet, but will keep looking.
The Swarm Host model has something to do with the way I changed the burrow upgrade to make it properly usable by the AI. I'll have to see if I can change the model of it when the upgrade is completed. Thanks!

Played 18 last night and have a video for Friday.  Solid Zerg macro map with a twist; great consistent application of incremental upgrades for both heros and army units!

I think this is the fastest you've ever recorded any of my maps. 0_o
I'll be looking forward to seeing it.
