    Hello,

     

    I have a little problem with my custom map.

    Everything start fine. But after some time the fps start slow down.

    I use fraps during testing and it start at cca 230 and drop slowly to 140 or so and you can feel the spikes. Like every 1 minute 2 frames drop.

     

    Can It be caused by triggers? If yes which ones can do that?

    Hello, 

     

    I just finished my first major patch on my single player survival map named Space Station Operator and need some testing/reviews.

     

    Space station operator is non combat map, where you take a place of an operator which decide

    which ship can dock in your space station and which cannot dock in your station based on 

    docking criterias like, Nation, Cargo, Docking Code... etc..

    Forget about the screen buttons, they are dumbed-down version of the dialog system for ease of use.

    Look up "dialog" in the action menu, you need the "Create Dialog". Dialog's are the base container that you position your buttons, images and texts. (Theres bunch of actions for dialogs like showing the background, hiding/showing the dialog.)

    When you create a dialog you need to put it into a variable too by using the "Last created dialog". Once you have your dialog you need to use the "Create dialog item (button,image,text)" and create them into your dialog. Then set those individual items into variables as well using the "last created dialog item"

    There's a lot of actions for the dialog item usage, (look into those yourself) for showing the dialog item you need "Show/Hide Dialog Item" action.

    Once you have your dialog items you can detect them in trigger events using the "Dialog Item Is Used" event then in the trigger actions using the "used dialog item" to specify which item was used to trigger the event.

    If I understand you correctly. I create dialog item. Then I set it into variable like - button number 85 = last created dialog item. Then I will display it like - display button number 85?

    I once tried to draft a dialog minimap based on terrain by filling every unpathable point with 1x1 dialog image item, game started to drop frames after a few dozen thousands images, but never it tried to permit me to create more.

    If I were to guess - there probably some logic error in your dialog making triggers.

    What preventing me from having more than 50? For example if I want to create dialog button number 51... u cannot set value 51... only 50. I hope u understand what I mean.

    Hello,

    Is there any way to have more than 50 dialog buttons/dialog images? I really need them more. In my map, every dialog button represent one spell that u can pick for your hero... at the moment I have like 40 spells. So in the near feature I will create more of these spells and for that I need more dialog buttons. But editor only allow me to have max50.

    Can someone help? Thank you

    Hello,

    I just released my map called ABNORMAL. ABNORMAL is PvP skill based map for 2 or more players where two team fights against each other in arenas. You can find the map under Arena genre.

    Map features:

    • skill based abilities
    • teamwork
    • various arenas
    • unique spells
    • PvP rank system

    Any feedback is welcomed and dont forget to review map ingame. BTW you can play the map alone, but only for trying the arenas/spells. Map is fully playable and enjoyable with 2 or more players.

    Hello, I have a problem with game speed.

    I set game speed to normal under File -> Preferences -> Test Document I set game speed to normal under Map -> Game Variants -> Game Atributes

    Then I published the map to battle.net for private testing. Then I tried my map on battlenet and the ingame speed is faster.

    Can someone help me how to fix it? Thank you

    Hello, can someone help me with trigger to do.

    I would like to know how to make trigger that will save for example kill count of players in map... save it and then load it in another map and continue counting the frags. Or for example save how many times that player wins that map. Or play time on the map. I think some of the popular tower denfeses have something like that.
