Do you think that you could attempt a redo in which you get footage of an actual game rather then it being your team vs an empty team?

I always find it strange that some people who mod games are bothered when other people mod their stuff.
I can sort of understand wanting credit for things, but I chuckle out loud at such concepts as locking your map. LOL!
I don't even consider creating arcade games to be "modding" honestly. To me, modding implies that you start with a game and modify it, whereas when you make an arcade game you quite literally start from scratch and have to make everything yourself. It is really more of an engine then a modding tool.

Q. As a map maker, is it ethically proper for you to copy others peoples maps, change stuff and publish it as long as you give proper attribution and the map was unlocked?
A. No, that is called stealing.
Q. What if the map was locked?
A. See above.
Q. And what if it was locked and the maker declared they had abandoned it?
A. Nope, either remake it or contact the author and ask for permission.
Q. And if it was abandoned for 3 years, and was broken from all the blizzard patches?
A. See above
Q. What if you've tried all possible ways to get in contact with the maker, and have gotten no replies? How long should you wait for a reply?
A. If it takes to long, you're probably better off remaking the map/game from scratch.
Q. As a map maker is it ethical of you to abandon a map and let future patches break said map, without ever updating it?
A. Yes, unless there is some sort of financial investment from players then you have absolutely no obligation to do anything.
Q. Is it ethical to post maps that you didn't copy a map file from another maker, but the game is almost the same as another game aside from terrain and certain aspects of data and trigger coding?
A. Of course, this is the entire basis of how inspiration works. There would be no Dota 2 or Heroes of the Storm without the original Dota and so on.

Public matches of Doodad Hunt 2! Featuring... Wargirl (not on voice chat tho)
This one showcasing all 3 map terrains:
Here's another shorter game:
Generally I encourage playing with more than 4 players!
Hey Krazy, I was curious what your feedback/thoughts on Doodad Hunt 2 were?

So, I submitted Doodad Hunt 2 last night only to discover that this years form of submission has changed a bit. You no longer need to upload your map file and I can confirm that you can submit your game via this form and continue to update it until the deadline..
Therefore, no need to sweat and think twice before hitting the submit button this year as you can simply just submit now and continue to update your game until the deadline. Not that big of a deal for most but for the paranoid such as my self (Omg what if my internet goes out on Sunday?) it is good news lol

Since I started creating arcade games after playing an awesome game named Smashcraft, I tried to find ALL of versus arcades in existance. Luckliy I saw your fantastic works, and start making my own game. There might be some similarities(WASD movements, Camera moving etc), and if you got unpleasant, I'm truly sorry about that.
GetHypered! starts with a simple thinking: "What about Hearthstone's Heroes/Cards pop out to 3D, and fight with their abilities/characteristics they have in Hearthstone?" So in the beginning of development, I extracted some famous characters, you know, Garrosh, Anduin, Alexstrasza and so on. As you know, they exist in your works too.
Hope that'll be an appropriate answer. Thanks for replying!
Nothing unpleasant about it, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't seeing things haha
Keep up the great work!

You wouldn't happen to have been a fan of or seen the videos for two arcade games, one called TriFaction and the other Project Underworld would you?
I noticed a few similarities between your heroes that share the same model as the ones in those two games lol

Thanks for playing DZ, the things you dislike about the game are what I plan to change in an upcoming patch with the addition of "Dares" for doodads. These will give the doodads objectives they can choose to do in order to reduce the round time.
PS - You can lock your facing as a doodad with right click :)
