Off the top of my head, no, as it would require a check for the inventory. The place to start is looking at validators if it is possible however, give it a shot, just remember inventories are abilities, so a validator checking abilities may give the right thing

Welcome to the site!
First thing to clear up the website doesnt automatically tell you that you need to include a picture, all of the mods look at them individually to decide if they are good enough to be released t the public. =P
Other than that, on your project page, click on Project management then in the list that appears you should see upload image, and put it in there =). Once that is done in that same list at the top hit resubmit for approval =D

Sounds like a map i had plans on making.
If i could suggest anything tho, Dont make 10 classes, it will be alot of trouble for you in the long run in making each of them and Balancing the bosses for that. especially if you plan on having 12 players, that means if everyone chose a different class 2 classes would be doubled over. You would have to balance bosses to deal with many many many differnt combinations of classes.
Sure WoW did it, but Making WoW took way more than just one guy with a level editor
Not saying it isnt possible but its ganna be rough

In response to your point 2:
Well, that's not completely true. If a map receives a lot of negative feedback it might not stay in the top 10 for long. For the majority of the cases though, a map that's at the top in downloads deserves to be played. On Staredit.net, what used to be the SC1 equivalent site to this one, there was a famous RPG called Legacy of Haen which had about 4000 downloads. It was a great map and deserved to be on the top maps list. It was a one player RPG so you wouldn't see any hosted games of it. I'm not sure how the Bnet popularity feature works, but will one player RPG's count towards that list if nobody else can join? Also, niche communities like map making sites usually have better taste in maps than just Evolves and mindless games that are the top popularity on Bnet. You could also have a "Top Downloaded in Past Week/Month/Year/etc" to keep the list fresh.
In any rate see what Aenigma said. Dunno if you played WoW, but ill try this example anyways, If you tried to go to WoWace to download addons, you would have a hard time finding the right files you needed because its a developersite, so you would just go to wow.curse.com and get the addond there that are sorted by populatiry, ratings, ect ect.
In the Sense of SC2, Mapster is WoWace, and we too have a curse site that does this. sc2.curse.com Its got everything you wanted.
Dont expect Mapster to have some of the things Curse has as Curse is meant for Distribution and Mapster is development

Ironically Blizzard's own SC Ghost map and their Lost Vikings map are not viable if you play by the rules (distribute maps on B.net etc).
Sorry my need to fix and correct statements stalled my reading of this thread here so i must reply >.<
Those 2 maps were single player maps, thus still viable.
But ill agree with the rest of your statement on keypresses being badly implemented for multiplayer.

Point 1, ill agree with
Point 2, "Would help increase some maps popularity" isnt true, especially if you go by your example, if everyone does what you do and just downloads the top 10 because thats what everyone is playing, then the top 10 never changes thus not increasing popularity, just increasing downloads. Bnet has this already, just use it.
Point 3, Yeah the markups are a bit odd, i just use Wikicreole since i did alot with the Wiki its pretty much natural for me, and it seems like it has the most support anyways.
But do note the guys running the site are looking into what people are saying (saying that made me feel like a Blizz CM lolol)

Diablo 1 & 2: Used to watch my dad play these for hours back when i was too little to play them, until he finally let me make my own character after LoD came out (Drood ftw!)
Starcraft 1: Played this mainly for the UMS games, got tired of being BS'd and stuff in melee games, my greatest accomplishment was winning a single game on the Korean Servers haha, only cuz my partner saved me.
WoW: I want my 3 years back! lol started a little before BC came out, leveled a priest to 40 then gave up cuz it was too hard (i leveled holy, i was a nub, oh on a PVP server) Then made a Hunter. Got hunter to 20 then BC launched, i was still the 4th person in my guild to 70 haha. BC Raided up to sunwell, was in some server firsts (V1 Gruul, Doomwalker, lurker, void Reaver, V1 Mag). Wotlk launched and was server first hunter to 80, Raided to Ulduar then Quit WoW Because i was getting too addicted to the game, and it was getting too easy =P
Starcraft 2: Yep, what you see is what you get. Wanted to be a big name in the Dev community for SC2 but since i got a job thats been hard to do lately >.<
