I remember this being asked before and I might have asked it too, but with all the patches is it finally possible to change the color of command card buttons that are tinted by race?
What do you mean by that? If you refer to the icon, well, you need to button data and unset the tinted by race value. That has been around since forever. If you mean something else, please clarify.
I mean the icons yes, and I want to leave the tinted by race setting on and change a given race's color from default terran=green, protoss=blue, zerg=orange - with all the UI improvements this just has to be possible now.
Maybe you can uncheck tint by race, hookup the buttons as dialog items with triggers and set their tint color to your desired race color manually. I don't think, there is a way to change the race color itself dynamically.

That might work, I assume it would have to be done every single time you select a unit.

Actually there is a huge bunch of constants in the default UI data, you'll have to override them using a sc2layout file
These colors are used everywhere to tint icons, borders, etc. Here is an example
If you want to change border images too you'll have to re-define default assets variables (I don't know how to do it), this is an example
Oh thanks so much Bibendus, that's exactly what I'm looking for.
Actually wonder how long that's been possible to do.
@zorbotron: Go
since sc2layout overriding was possible and public with Aiur Chef I think
Hmm, did I do something wrong? I changed colors but nothing is different in-game.
Edit: actually it works now, i think i needed to add the file as a custom layout in Game UI Data
If it's solved add it to the topic title ;)
