"This tutorials aim is to help intermediate map designers to learn how to create a dynamic and simple leaderboard for their maps. On the left side of this page is a detailed explaination of what each trigger and part thereof does and why it is done. On the right side is a quick summary of each trigger similar to the view in the editor and down the bottom is a link to the map file. Feel free to use this tutorial as it pleases you."
Man, wonderful tutorial bro. I'm not new to mapping for RTS games, As for making multiplayer skirmish/melee style maps I mean. I had never done many of the things like the galaxy editor and the war3 editor can do. Like making custom game types and all the greatness blizzard gives us to be creative. So I am learning a heck of a lot and have the drive to learn as much as possible Since I am down with a back injury and have literally ALL DAY with NOTHING to do haha. I was watching a video tutorial on how to make a Zerg Invasion Map by OneTwo or what ever his screen name is, his tutorials are listed here in the index, he did a great job until he got to the leader board and started making a bunch of confusing mix ups and once he realized it he would go back and frantically try to fix them to be in the 10 minute time period for youtube. and wew it threw me off for a couple of days. The I found your simple, plain English written right there on the website tutorial instead of a video one. Come to find out OneTwo was doing so much stuff manually. I mean he was working with the beta editor, and i know there have been changes. But he got me lost on that, and you saved the day! Im not saying though OneTwo does bad tutorials, his a great for video tuts, but just the one spot in his tutorial video threw me off so bad! But I am thankful, and thank you for your short and sweet guide ;)
Awesome tutorial! The one thing I still want to do (in addition to proffik's idea of removing players who leave), is to sort it by kills, so that the person with the most kills is on top. Is this possible?
My Projects:
Sorted Multiplayer Leader Board
Card Shuffle Dialog Demo
Air Wars Mass
Blizzard Fan since Starcraft. The Single Player story is AMAZING IMO, I can't wait for the Expansions. In Warcraft 3 I only enjoy the Custom Maps scene (& Blizzards...

@Maul2: Go
Thanks, this was very helpful. I loved how you got into great detail at each step.
There is an easier way I Belive to track number of players, just make a global TotalPlayers = (Number of players in (Active Players)) <Integer>

ScADoO!
use the headline row to store the "player kills" text. looks ugly with this large blank field on top
this is good but how do i make leader board change status of player to LEFT when player leaves the game? i really suck at triggers :P
and ignore the "Author" under my name, i'm a tester not an Author :|
