Hi,Im new here.
Well as I'm taking my first step in the Galaxy Editor I was I came across some problems.I was trying to add some tech upgrade to the Zerg and the Terran.The terran trigers work fine,I just define "add 1 to"...,and it did what it soppose to do.but the Zerg trigers dont well.In fact only some of them work.instead it's disable the ability to recruit Overlord,Ultralisk and Hydralisk.
I was trying to add the following upgrade:
- Enable campaign tech unit Baneling - Hunter Strain (B) for player 1
- Enable campaign tech unit Zergling - Raptor Strain (B) for player 1
- Enable campaign tech unit Hydralisk - Lurker Strain (B) for player 1
- Enable campaign tech unit Mutalisk - Brood Lord Strain (Mutalisk A) for player 1
- Enable campaign tech unit Ultralisk - Noxious Strain (B) for player 1
1-Why don't you try to instead of use "Enable campaign tech" the "Add upgrade for player"? E.g. the Baneling - Hunter stran it is calles as "Hot SHunter" in the "Add upgrade for player".It always work for me. 2-There isn't, if I well know, a limit of triggers in a map. 3- Next time you post, put screenshots instead to links, it is better.

Well I did that. The funny thing is that it said in the Zerg building that the unit has those string but it won't produce this unit. Its produce 'regular' unit
btw. Ican't upgrade the Zerg unit byonde level 1(armor,weapon etc)
For the producion of the unit go to the building's command card and erase any other strains of that unit that you don't want to be produced. For the upgrades problem try having a look at the default upgrades on the data editor to see if the units you want are correctly put EDIT: in yourscreenshotI can see that there's a trigger error, could you make an screenshot of if if you want not to appear? Whenever I see a trigger error on my map I don't stop until it's eradicated :)
Well I solve the first problem by given the Larva the option to morph to any Zerg string unit that I whant.so now I have the ability to spawn Lurker Strain and the Impaler string etc.. kinda fun! I olso make some upgrade to the marine unit(well costum marine unit).
As for the trigers list of the above map here it is:
Another questions i whant to ask you is are you familiar whit the"Tauren Space Marine" unit?
I've tried to add them to the merc compound but theres no such option in the editor,how do I add them?(I kinda like them)
and is there away to save all the data editing and copy them to another maps?
For the tauren space marine, you have to go the the train ability of the mercenary compound and then add your unit to that. Then go to the actual mercenary compound unit and add an ability to the command card to make it be able to train your unit.
If you are new to the editor, I suggest that you go Here. Also check out YouTube, there are many tutorials there worth watching.
