Yeah I used a completely blank map, and the Disable Phoenix did remove those upgrades, check for yourself, would love confirmation.
Might be EU fail or something, idk..
@redbean87: Go Then its definitely a bug. Try out other stargate units and see what happens. Maybe its related to the upgrades' requirements.
EDIT: Just as I thought. The upgrades require Phoenix enabled, when they should require Stargate. Report it to blizzard and ask them to change it. Or you can simply change it in your map.
If you go into the data editor and open the requirements tab, you can search air armor. Go to everything you find and click requirements+ and delete the phoenix enabled requirement or change it to a stargate enabled requirement.
I didn't find that hallucination had any unit enabled requirements.
So many problems today, I think I'm going insane.
When I test my map, 50% of the standard melee unit upgrades are gone, I haven't even disabled them at all :S
Been trying to solve this issue for weeks now, but I finally give up.
Anyone else had this issue, know what might have caused it, is it a bug?
If no; Care to take a look at my map?
More of an example:
@redbean87: Go You added the Swarm mod, everything makes perfect sense. Always expect major issues when adding blizzard's dependencies.
If you don't really need it, don't add it. Consider what you need first, then add the correct dependency to get what you need.
@SoulFilcher: Go
So if I would like everything to be normal in my map, what should I do? :P
I simply want all melee regular units to be what they should be and have what they should have if I played a regular ranked/unranked/vs ai etc
@redbean87: Go If you want the HoTS melee units, add Swarm Multi as a dependency to your map. But remove/replace the Liberty one.
@SoulFilcher: Go
By doing that, I lost even more upgrades :(
I'll try restart editor
EDIT: Nah didn't work..
I'll try import all triggers to a brand new map with that dependency
Even when I imported triggers with the dependancy you said it still didn't work, what's going on :'(
edit: aaand I made double post instead of edit, fantastic
@redbean87: Go Which dependencies you use, and in what order?
@SoulFilcher: Go
Swarm (mod) the multi one
only one
Tech tree - Disallow Phoenix for player x
This trigger action ALSO disables Protoss Air Upgrades, both weapon and armor.
WHY?
What's the point of having an action that does other stuff aswell that has nothing to do with it?
Seems like all of the "Tech disable unit" actions are worthless, they might aswell remove em.
@redbean87: Go Could be a bug. You may want to post in in blizzard's bug forums.
@SoulFilcher: Go
Where is that? http://www.sc2mapster.com/forums/development/triggers/50894-i-can-not-for-my-life-solve-this-tech-vanished/edit-post-11/ nvm, posted in technical support on eu blizz forum
btw u really think this might be a bug?
If someone doesn't understand, a picture says more than etc etc:
@redbean87: Go I think it might be a bug, or we are missing something. Have you tried to add that action to a new map and see what happens?
@SoulFilcher: Go

I wouldn't hope it was my comp, otherwise it would mean getting a new one...at least if it were a bug, it could get fixed.
Try reallowing the upgrades after you disallow the unit.

I will take a look into it, but it's not only the protoss air armor, air attack
When I disabled another unit, dont remember which, Research hallucination got removed xD
Afraid I don't know enough of the data editor to be able to change it.
Guess I have to wait for a new patch... brb xD
Yea, I checked it out as well...

aaaah found the requirement thingie, changed it to starport.
Try disable all units, and you will notice that it will vanish.
Sad part is, I've only checked protoss.. not zerg and terran :|
Will make a full report on this issue tomorrow, but now I gotta get some sleep, been up 4 more hours than I originally planned thanks to this..
@redbean87: Go Hallucination no longer needs to be researched. You should play melee a little more before doing that XD
@SoulFilcher: Go
<.<
>.>
I never said anything about hallucination!
