Congratulations on finishing the campaign, i still believe this can be the best campaign on sc2 ever made, even superior to "Perfect Soldiers" trilogy, i promise this here, one day i will play all the missions i have left, record them on YouTube on Brutal of course and write eye bleeding text wall feedback posts... After all you even made a mission on my brithday day two years ago (what a coincidence it was :D)
Thanks to VastanX, all Annihilation missions have now been supplied with unique models for several of the campaign's main characters. Thanks to you for making these, Vastan!
This does mean that I have updated all missions with these models, as well as several other changes. See the full list of changes below.
All Missions: New, unique models and wireframes have been made for Maxwell Reeves, Morganus Krayen, Jared Malrick, Ivan Crowley and Harris Arrow. A new portrait has also been made for Harris Arrow.
All Missions: Loading screen has been updated to coincide with new Hero models. In addition, a brand new loading screen has been created for Mission 01 "Mindless Creatures".
All Missions: Loading screen text has been moved slightly to the right.
A21, A22, A23: Flashback images for cinematics have been altered to coincide with updated Hero models.
Hey Dudki good luck with the last mission of your campaign, sorry if i didn't tested your last maps but i was forced on Hospital for months a year ago since i almost lost a limb and now i have a huge backlog of custom campaigns to test, i don't feel like i can rush maps to reach mission 23 just yet, i am just sad because i really wanted to provide all the feedback i could provide on one of the best custom campaign ever createrd on the whole history of StarCraft 1 and 2.
I'll be sure to test all of the remaining maps i didn't play one day, i will also provide feedback and post the full playthrough if possible
Thanks, i use saves on Brutal if i see that the mission is going well... My strategy was to skip all tech and go for air superiority/high sustain (i tried a mix of ground units with no success... Why the parasite can't be hitted by meelee anyway? this fact cut off any sort of meelee build imho) because i know that zerg doesn't have burst damage/splash damage... I was so focused on completing the objective / defending the broodmother that i didn't even scouted the map properly... Next time i will scout better :)
Yes, Brutal as alwais, wait... There was an expansion?? How could i've been so dumb... Imho guardians are the best on this campaign, they saved me on so many occasions... Like this one... I tried Torrasques but it didn't work out
*EDIT: I checked the editor, there were two expansions... Well they were distant from my main base, but the nearest could have been usefull, easily defended with some spines/lings and queen/guardians
Another great zerg mission, really enjoyed both parts, especially the macro one (even on this one the main strategy is to split your army and defend your base/The objective with Krayen), loved also the terrain, good stuff
* I only got a few problems on this map
*The map is imho too dark, not a real problem but still a bit annnoying
* I also encountered a bug that made me lose instantly, pratically when you get to the macro portion, a cutscene starts after few minutes, if you are under attack by the zerg and the cutscene starts, it pops up the defeat screen because "all your structures have been destroyed", a strange bug, never seen something like that
Did mission 19 (brutal)... it was smooth and balanced, the difficulty was on point, with a little multitasking (Keeping Krayen on your base while your army defends the leviathan) the mission was easy to complete, especially with the early exp (there was another but was too defended to try to trake it, good idea putting all that stuff on defence), only problem is that scourges are not on F2 tab for some reasons
I didn't use Ultras because i hate to lose super expensive units like these with high damage spells like the raven one, to have a great bank to make instant mass lings to slow down some waves (damn me i forgot to place some evo chambers away from my base to buy time, i will use them if the next mission will need it) and opted for mass queens since the heals refilled fast the aoe damage (with also Krayen heal) and most important they have a huge ass hitbox so the total of units hitted by the missiles were smaller (plus ravens wasted immediately some seeker on lings ... I was worried about the hiatus you had months ago but i am glad you came back with this intense mission, it kicked my ass like -The Ringed City- is kicking it right now
Just did mission 18 on Brutal (took me 2 hours to defeat this one and find the right composition)
* Let's just start with a question, did you put double damage units on the various bases? Because i saw a siege tank (on one of the bases without minerals) do more of 100/200 damage to my hero with a single shot, fucking up my entire plan of kill everything and then plant the virophages...
* Don't know itf it's intentional but every BC i met did yamatomy hero whenever he was on range, putting it as the highest priority target, half of the times killing it as a consequence... Don't know if it's intentional or not
* Very hard and fast paced mission btw, I tried Ultralisks and it was a godawful idea, way better keep spamming free banelings, the real joke on this map is the free Raven spam on the mid-late waves, i counted like 6 missiles at once one time (making impossible to dodge everything)... Since this gratuitous AoE spam i went for hydra/roach/ling/bane/queens so to mitigate as most as possible the seeker missile shots and have a quick army that is easy to refull with new units... For the whole "spread creep" question i solved it with a Creeper sawrm host, so i didn't have to waste money on nydus worms or wait the killed creep tumors to grow again
Double damage on bases was a nice denial for cleaning up the map, but on the end useless when you have nukes, or mass bc (the greatest problem with zerg bases were vipers that pulled my BCs, nothing else... For the protoss bases, they have so few units that you can clean them with ease with heroes and the main army, not even the nuke is needed)... Maybe placing that disruption field from the BC mission of WoL could work? Or put more swarm hosts/brood lord and khaydarin towers on the bases to deny early attacks (this option seems more effective imho)... They are vulnerable to nukes on the same way, but at least are not a kind of cheap trick like double damage and serves the same function of attack denial... And remember, i can cheese everything (I find fun on analyzing exploits/ weak points of maps, but i also love not cheese tactics btw, if i have to test something, i do it the hard way, not that i am a super expert on sc2 btw), you CANNOT STOP ME Mwahahahahaha
I bet that Dudki's house is flooded by cheese right now... Map 17 RTS doesn't need these changes btw, even with cannon/energy drain I can alwais spam nukes... Can i say that your campaign is probably the best (probably because is still to be finished), i like that most maps have multiple phases and are lengthy, there's a lot of stuff to do, especially on the L E N G H T Y ones, and even if ton of stuff to do, They are stil la action packed, you rarely have time to breath (except the defensive section of map 17 [do you even attack bro?] and very few others). Can't wait to play the final mission on 2020 :D

In reply to VastanX:
Thank you! I'll definitely record the videos without using too much quicksaves one day!

Strange, i didn't have problems with the Idurans, i had to help them only two times
