Much as I love it, I think there is too much detail for a small unit - consider an unit uses like maybe less than 2% of the screen state and try to account detail for that. The ummm, texture on the fins or whatever and part of the front hull thing will onyl cause visual noise i feel.
I would imagine it will be like that of Nova's model in detail. This is intentional for when baking the textures and normal maps. The goal, I'm experimenting still, is aimed at getting to a Nova detail, if not a Heroes of the Storm level of detail.
Fair enough. As long as it is readable, which given your shots, it totally is, great job, btw. He reminds me of Karax for some reaosn, hehe
this on is reatroactively a part of concept art. Seems aldaris had turquopse/navy blue/grey with gold trims. I dont think thats the only set of clothes he wore, but i wonder if the color scheme might help stand out or get lost more hehe
Tbh, aside from the portraits, Im not sure there is art publicly available for old young artanist. I will see if i can find anyhthing, but no promises haha
The pictures I posted are old art by Chris Metzen and Samwise Didier, the original concept artists for SC1. Most of the art came from the instruction booklets, back when those things wwere the bomb (Diasblo 1 had among the best).
it seems metzen envisioned all protoss looking more like tassadar, somewhere during development the semi sunken eye sockets and tiger like stripes became part of just tassadar. he seems to bre wearing a poece of cloth on his forehead rather than being a distinct head fringe.

based from a frame of that anim, i tried to idenfitfy the shape of his body flat. used red on the outlines for minor comic book like shading/texture. he seems to have a chin piece similar to samwise's zeratul concept art. i highligghted it in dark red.
