There are only like 15 days left of Blizzard's contest. From the little amount of information that has been posted here lately, it looks like you are not going to meet that deadline. Though, it is never good to rush things. I still look forward to trying this whenever it is finally released.
I have no idea how close you are to releasing something, but in case you are close, this might be useful to join in on. Whenever you are ready to release this, I'm really looking forward to playing it. Good luck.
Even though I've never gotten to play this map yet, just from looking at the screenshots, I think you could enter this contest. All of your elements seem well polished, and you seem to be almost done except for some statistical and balance work. Maybe you should consider it. Just bringing this up, in case it actually interests you.
I know I don't really have a say in this matter, but I like participating. While people do have very open minds and are willing to learn how to play, I have found within my own maps, that you really have to spoon feed your players the information, or many will just say, "What do I do? This makes no sense!", and then leave.
My point is, it really doesn't matter how simple or advanced the map is, what matters is how you present it. So as long as it is easy to understand and people can easily learn, you will be fine.
Recently, I have been really interested to see how this game is going, as I am really looking forward to it. So I noticed that there were some problems related to balancing. I found this link which is a formula for balancing units. I'm not sure if it will help you, but I figured I might as well show it to you in case it actually is helpful.
I have to say, looking at various screenshots you have made available, this looks truly amazing! I could never imagine being able to make some of these things. I look forward to trying this whenever it is released.
Just an idea, but if you reference other games, they use a fly ability to teleport to other towns. If you want a teleport in your map it would be pretty simple. The revive ability in my map War of Duality (WoD) has a similar concept that it has to target a specific structure (for me it's a town hall). You can use validators to check for this.
I'm looking forward to playing this whenever it comes out.
I'm not sure how they did it, but I once played a map that when you got to the edge of the map, it had those lines that you see at the edge of melee maps sometimes when the map doesn't quite fit in the minimap. Then you crossed that, it brought you to a new map allowing them to have as much room as they could possibly want. I don't know what the map was, but it was like a campaign style map. I guess they could have used mods to do that.
The point is, if you could figure out how to do this, you'd have unlimited room in your map.
Also I noticed you had a post recently about what to do after you complete the story. You could add arenas for people to battle and complete challenges like I have seen before in games like this.
I know that feeling all too well...

I thought it was Warcraft dependencies they were sort of pushing us to use.

So does that mean there's still a chance for release? I mean they did just announce another Rock the Cabinet, a new goal maybe?

I hope this isn't dead. Would be such a shame.
