Motive, there is still a problem when trying to use the Mapcraft.exe file on Windows XP (EU). Gives the same error message. (Application directory bla bla).
It has always said that it was unable to create application directory, something to do with the Java application me thinks, and if you look at the first post I made I did say that first hand. It keeps telling them that everytime they try to run the file on XP. Doesnt happen to me on Vista though.
Sadly we ran into the same problem again, telling us the same thing. "Unable to create application directory". Windows XP is just a huge mystery to me >.>.
Perhaps there is a way to make it so that it wont require Java to be run but some other program that wont have the same problem for windows XP users?
I did write it in the command prompt as told, and all that showed up was a new line of nothing where I could type in the same thing again. Dont know why but it just wont work.
I've run in to a bit of a snag here and I could use some help. For starters most of the friends that I have have Windows XP and I have Vista. The Mapcraft launcher works fine for me but not for them because they keep getting the message "Unable to create application directory". They have installed the latest version of Java and it still doesnt work, dont ask me why. And when I try do the other trick with deleting the files and all that it doesnt seem to work at all. Dont even know if I am doing it right.
My folder and the folders of my friends looks like this: Cache/2e0bea8af7278e98da4a3e416d208cd17956bc36e1b53e37287a468ed1468daa.s2ma/00000000/hardTile.bin
And that is all there is to it, no map to delete or anything. Just that hardtile.bin that is 1b. I did all the steps correctly and so did my friends, still it didnt work.

Sadly, nothing turned up when both he and I went to the cmd prompt and we typed it in many variations like yours. Nothing happened.
