It has been a while since someone added suggestion to help Moz a bit ;) I'm currently looking through a couple wte just to inspire myself a bit and hope to really start brainstorming about doing something to showcase all of the wte we've been through.
What about a wte about "unusual friends" so you mix up races, terrain critters or whatever and try to make them interact, tell a story...you know?
Another idea, one focussed on roads, with the new tilesets of lotv and all the previous possibilities, making a possible road with intersection and stuff. Think of this picture for example, from a previous wte #100.
We had a couple "inside" terrain i believe, but not specefic bar... But i see this can be interesting. Just thinking about terraining a bar (wihtout using WoL sets) I have a few ideas :P
Did we have a wte about bridges? Like, focus on bridge, light bridge, low gravity bridge, concrete bridge, temple bridge, natural bridge, broken bridge... and just come up with a bridge in an environment where it would stand.
It's ok you know... you make a terrain within the sc2 environment with like 2 marines playing WC3 'hologram' on a table. So the models would all be small and it would look funny a shit :D
I never really made terrains with WC3 and doing so, we would have to learn the doodad list of WC3. I know some units are coming in the editor but thats about it. Not that i dont like your idea, but i doubt it would really work. On the other hand, nothing prevent you from making a terrain in WC3 ;)
I suggest a WTE after the current one or "one day in the futur"... About choosing a specefic doodad either imposed by the WTE or terrainer choose, and you must find an unusual way to use that doodad. Originality is the key here. Example, a tree, how can you turn that into something special? It could become a beaver lodge(?) in a river. It could be a pilar of something if you put it up-side-down with grass growing around the ground. There could a list of doodads that have potential to become something really special. Imagine pipes... This WTE should really focus on the doodad properties, scale, pitch and roll, color, etc. :P
Ok so, what about a WTE about making (something) but trying to use a different camera angle than top view. Like, really focussing on the angle of view, tilting the camera, make it up-side-down, bottom view, whatever... just be original in the way you use the camera. Then when you think of how you want the camera, you think of what you would look at with such a camera angle... like you could make a bottom view at a big screen and you're now in a cinema. Tilt the camera and you're now in a rollercoaster. Flip the camera and you're now in low gravity. (thinking of it, a low gravity theme could be nice)
I'm not sure to understand what you mean... Caus anyway, physics and collosion aren't usefull in WTE as most of the time WTE are simply pictures and not animations. Since WTE are images, you can simulate nearly everything you wish like raining cars, up side down world, or whatever you imaginate without the need of any physics.
Haha ;) But still, you have been able to put a theme whatever it is, almost every weeks since 2010. You should have your own highligh by Blizz! Caus you worth it :D
I guess that when you have ideas, you should share them before forgetting them... So, that's what I do when I have one. I'm suprised Mozared hasn't run out of ideas yet.
Another idea. List all the terrain set, randomly pick 2 of those, and try to combine them. For example: if you get Space Platform and Volcanic terrain set, you have to find a way to have a volcanic space platform which could be great... of course this could lead to some more boring one like agria and a similar normal planet terrain set, but I think the probability to get something interesting is big. Imagine Kaldir mixed with the Zerus... a frozen rain forest... how epic that would be?
What do you mean by calldown panels? Like when Artanis uses its abilities and it changes the view to more top down view with ui changing?

I've only watched a couple by now, but one seemed interesting. From Kanitala's post: http://www.sc2mapster.com/forums/development/terrain/38779-weekly-terraining-exercise-86-floating-islands/?page=2#posts

Umm I'm not so sure about that. Instead of restricting the number of light, it should me more general and force people to use the lightings.

And what about ScrinKing ideas using hidding cells resulting in things like: http://www.sc2mapster.com/media/attachments/46/436/holedoodad.PNG
