As a matter of fact, our system is neither of those. It's wierdly (Is that a word?) toggle-based. You tap a key once to toggle movement in that direction on, and press the opposite key the untoggle the movement. There is basically no delay.
We do our testing on the NA servers. Join the chat channel StrikeCraft at around 10 PM EST. That's when we normally do our testing. I'm not sure, though, if there will be any testing tonight. There probably will be tomorrow, though, because I'm almost done with a new and significantly better map :D
Guys, he's not kidding. The movement system is a bit awkward, but there is literally NO lag. If there is lag, then it is too small to be noticed at all.
I think I'd be able to do your terrain :)
I know how to make things look pretty good in third person with the camera right up close behind the character, first person should be no different.

Well, what do you do? Also, you should probably try contacting gamfvr if you're interested in joining the project.
The project's not dead, if anyone was wondering.

We'll have on screen weapon models too, don't worry. We've got someone working on that :D

Hmmm... I just noticed a typo on the news article. It has gamfvr written as gamvfr lol.

The new WASD system is a bit awkward. Gamfvr made it so you toggle movement on with a key, and off with the opposite key.

It already has been worked on and the lag has been removed to the fullest possible extent. The movement suffers no more lag than SC2 does by default.

THERE ISN'T LAG!!! FFS ACTUALLY LISTEN TO WHAT HE'S SAYING.

Do you have an NA account?

Thanks :D

Battlefield Egypt 2 doesn't actually lag very much. Zelda and I played it with 6 people and there wasn't much lag at all.
