Check Youtube or an app store. Check page x on their ranking and you will find full of shits. But why dont they delete it? Those youtube videos really take up place... So why not deleting? Because its fucking discouraging for authors, no one would make videos for youtube, if their videos would be taken down. There are many channels (authors) whose videos first was unpopular and if their videos would be taken down, I bet they wouldnt made new ones.
But who knows maybe you (and some other) want monopoly over the map market, than it makes sense why you dont want beginners map makers to catch on... So lets make the current system even less encouraging for map makers and one day than sc2mapster's only visitors will be bots.
Also back in W3, I usually downloaded unpopular maps from epicwar.com, maps which only few liked (mostly because most of them was deep rts games or complex games). And even if I didnt have friends, I just hosted on bnet with the right name and I usually ended up with 2-3 player who had the same mind set (taste) like me. Under the current sc2 system I can hardly get friends to play maps which I like, because back in W3 when I hosted the map I liked and I saw the guys who joined to have the same taste like me, I friended them. So I usually had friends to play the maps I liked, thats gone in SC2. And with deleting unpopular maps it will totally go away.
This will also stop to experiments with new type of map ideas...

You know that way none of your map will be on bnet anymore.
Also I dont see where was those maps cluttered up in the system? Also name me 1 other system which deletes non-popular stuff, which users upload on them? Its self suicidal....
Its also stupid as map makers will just keep reuploading it or afking in it.
This is just another sign that they are downgrading stuff. Now I will have to call it bnet 0.1 (instead bnet 0.2).
So what really made me angry, that if you dont host the game in private, than you wont have lobby, game will start instantly as soon you have the amount of players, that the map can have at max. If you are hosting game in private, people wont be joining with find match.
So after this there will be about 10 maps (instead the current 30), which will have 99% of total popularity. And there will be no popular maps with player slots more than 2. (Also forget voting, race/color choosing, team arrangement ... in the lobby as popular maps will be used without lobby).
So for me it seems like they just keep destroying every good thing we had from bnet 1.0.
(Also its full of bugs and other bad ideas, but I can accept that those probably will be fixed or changed)
edit:
Also I made 3 screen shot and a map to "Debate Arcade System" (thats how I named it) and published it in beta, use the reviews to debate.

Yeah, thats what I think in which direction they are going and I will write it them too.
Yes there are some good things, but there are many bad. I dont see at all, that they have any clue about what they are doing.
Ok, those who cant host and has the same message like me, must delete HKEY_USERS/S-1-5-21..../Software/Blizzard En.../Starcraft II Editor/Preferences-> BattleNetHost (its probably a left over from old beta)

well for that I need to know the beta url. Also I think its already has the right url if I choose server in the editor it says: americas (as the name of the server)
Since I cant publish maps I tell you my master evil plan:
I was going to upload a map with screenshots previews of a better battle.net and with change logs, where I list all my problems about battlenet. It would probably have been my random TD map, which I would have modified so it would have advertisements on the loading screen, probably with small text on them, that bnet approved advertisement and in the game I would have added stuff, which you can buy with battle.net credits, which you can buy with Real Life money.
Btw this is the error I get when I try to login with the beta editor:
Anybody else cant upload maps in beta, because it says you dont have the correct editor version? (maybe they want to keep the number of uploaded maps to very low?)
I hope we spammed them with enough rage mails...
@Flinkelinks: Go For me, it seems they just pretending that they are listening. But we will see...
Agreed.
@xcorbo: Go I am expecting this thread to be closed.
At least do it for the LULZ!:D

After some testing I just lost all my hope about bnet.... Those who made it are just simply retarded. You can edit my post, but thats the truth.
