Ugly bypass: delete the entire Starcraft II directory (binaries). and re-install [Will try to find a more focused bypass as i test.]
Solution: Uknown.

Anybody else using Chinese have any similiar issues? It doesn't seem to happen with RUSSIAN, only Chinese (probably lots of special kludges for Chinese servers).
Not sure if known because this thread is so long...
Pitfall: Removing a unit does not instantly remove it from unit groups anymore
Solution: remove it manually, else maybe a check for it being alive works. It basically means that you now need to actively prevent this... same for inventory items, though.
Caused some bugs in my diablo map.
I encountered this in the trigger of war3 mod too.
Check my map from page 3 Renee, please. The impact model of the Archon's ability (damage nearby units at melee range) and Buff Impact model of 1st warhound ability doesn't show up. I have only blue-ish lighting but the particle animation not appearing.
Could you plz check it, maybe this is local problem and i need to reinstall the game from scratch?!
Also, do you know why the "Transfer" flag in launch missile effect doesn't work anymore? Maybe it requires some additional setup before use?
thx
Let me check your map then.
For the Transfer flag. I believe it is broken since 2.1.11 or even earier?
I'm having a unit now which cannot be selected with dragged mouse box, it can only be selected by clicking on it. Also I copied the flags from an unaffected unit. Any ideas how to fix this?
Attach a invisible model which contains hittest sphere. I don't think it's related to 3.0
the thing is, inside this menu it shows for a short second that US local uses different name (Ling Slayers vs Ling Slayer). changing the local shows that it uses Ling Slayer in the US. it let me upload and at 100% it throws the error. pressing the button doesnt help, deleting locales doesnt help, uploading as Ling Slayerz doesn't work too, it says that the DE locale has an error and that it is left out.
Have a look at my post and provide the information of your old editor locale (2.1, the locale of the editor itself, not your map), and the Server you wanted to upload.
Has anyone been able to publish their maps since 3.0? I've tried since yesterday, it just stops and won't publish any maps.
The only maps that can be published, creating a brand new maps seems to work. Or loading up an old map that hadn't been saved, that will publish. Then once I save it again, it won't publish anymore.
edit: actually, some of the older maps also won't publish. one did publish though until I saved it again...
Nevermind! Seems I can still publish to the korea region, I'll just move my maps there.
War3 Mod 3.0 published to all regions.
It's just that there is a issue to update one of the sample map in CN region.
pitfall cannot update maps anymore, throws error : published names must match with all names of all languages of the previous version (which it does, never used any other name)
Solution: no idea
whatever
It's possible that you encontered the issue MaskedImposter descripted. But if use for all regions don't work. It's indicated that you get a bigger problem:
The way I see it, the patch seems unified the 'Internal Editor Locale' (Not the formal name, it's just what I call it.) for all regions.
'Internal Editor Locale' was orginally defined by Mods\Core.SC2Mod\Product.SC2Archive, and would affect the publich name for same regions in same way. (perhaps for sensitive word filter? Not sure).
And now with the new CASC format, this file no longer exist.
CN user suffered most for this.(Inculding myself)
I suggest you to provide your orignal Editor locale, and the region you wanted to upload. This may help Traysent to indicate the issue.
\Documents\StarCraft II\EditorVariables.txt
localeidinstall=zhCN
change it to
localeidinstall=enUS

Manually fixed it.
Increase the height of the Label.
@FunkyUserName: Go
Well, highlight flag isn't used for that.
It's used to indicate if a Unit can fire Unit Highlighted event.
@FunkyUserName: Go
has the recent patch fixed the map update issue for you?
ok, @abvdzh
I checked your map, and it seems indeed have impact model.
If this white lightnings are the impact model you mentioned. It may be casue by some graphic setting then.
Have your tried rename or remove \Documents\StarCraft II folder and try again?
Also I suggest you to remove C:\ProgramData\Blizzard Entertainment and see if it works.
Plus, have your tried the official units? do they also lack impact models?
Let me check your map then.

Or, may be not so perfect.
It's a snipe ability.
This can only be caused by your own actor event config.
Check your actor events again.
My map works perfectly.
Regions.xml
Put it in your sc2 folder.

Actually. Unifiy 'Internal Editor Locale' is a good thing.
You no longer need to use different client to upload map for certain regions. But the older maps still need to be addressed.
Hope blizzard could allow us to bypass the name check while update these old maps.
