@TheAlmaity: Go I think the storage PC shouldn't be positioned inside the.... ohhh I forgot the word, the area where the medic is. Lie something trainers can access directly at their leisure and unlike the machine, which is handled by a "trained person"
Overall the interior of the center still needs work to make it look like a comfortable place trainers go and realx a little. Maybe a couch at a corner? :-) Also I think you guys can use one of the doors from the Hyperion's cienmatics... search the SM setsa and props, it would look more like a building than an alley ;-)
@Mozared: Go Good to know. Wood fences already done, check the Assets section. Ahhh and tell me if you need other doodads, I might be able to make them. ;-)
@TheAlmaity: Go You can't use cross-region dependencies. We all have more space, but unfortunately that's only good for publishing the same stuff to each region... :-(
@zeldarules28: Go Looking at that screenshot I remembered HoTS has some real "tall grass", but you guys said you didn't want to force players to have HoTS.
With all the new assets I wonder how long you can keep that point of view ;-)
EDIT: Here is a test for the center PC. I took one of the Castanar's monitors and removed the small side screens. Also it is easy to modify the texture that is applied to the screen so it can really look like you're using a Starmon computer.
@TheAlmaity: Go You could use an interesting trick for some of these cases: make the base type learn one move at that level, but the evolution learn another at the same level, so there's a reason to keep it in the basic form. If I remember it right it was the case with some pokemon. In at least one version of the game Magikarp could learn a very strong dragon move if it leveled up to 30, a move Gyarados wouldn't learn by itself.
Also in some weird cases a wild pokemon would have a move it wasn't supposed to learn, like wild Magikarps with Tackle, lol, I think later they removed these things, but it was interesting to have the possibility to capture a "rare version" of a pokemon type, because it learned a move it won't learn when trained.
Have you guys made any artwork like map logo? Pokemart or Pokecenter -like logos or anything I could use in billboards, banners, store fronts and other doodads?
I'm basically working on doodads cut from SC2 models right now, but modifying billboards and the like to fit the map theme is easy, so you guys could design some artwork for them (if you have free time and are willing to do it of course).
@TheAlmaity: Go Beware of type combinations, specially if they haven't appeared yet in pokemon games. I haven't played newer versions but I don't remember a dark+psychic pokemon. Some combinations aren't used on purpose, because they could be OP, or because it's hard to imagine a pokemon that fits the combination.
Also, remember you MUST have pink-colored normal-type pokemons, that seems to be a rule ;-)
I think I can make a psychic pokemon like solrock or lunatone, made of rocks and protoss "mystical" things. Now that I think of it the new Mothership Core and Oracle are some nice psychic starmon.
@TheAlmaity: Go I have about 6 fence variations already done, and I'll extract all kinds of furniture from sc2 models. Coaches, chairs, tables, eveything useful I can find. I'm not on my computer right now and I've been trying to use blender with windows 7 but it's too buggy, so I think I won't upload these to the assets section before saturday or sunday.
And I've been thinking about possible Starmons, I want to create an oddish-like plant starmon, but I don't know what to sue for the body. I also want to create a ghost-type starmon, I just don't know how it would look like.
@TheAlmaity: Go I think I'll stick to doodads for now. The trainer models seem too complex for my modelling abilities, but I may try some starmons. I'd like to see a list, with their types, or maybe just tell me the types that need new starmon. With the models already in SC2 I think plant types are the easiest to make, maybe fire too.
Last time I discussed the terrain with Maity we discussed some interesting objects there that could use new models. Starmon PC's, Starmon-centre healers, fences to jump over and perhaps generic vendor-related stuff. Take your pick :)
Ohhh nice, I may work on some of that stuff, it's been a looong time since I played a pokémon game but I think I can just google for references. I like working on doodads and some ideas alreacy came to mind.
I decided I have to contribute with something to this map at some point. Most probably artwork, maybe a model. Which Starmon type needs new models the most? Remember I would make one by using the ones in SC2, or parts of models at least.

@zeldarules28: Go Yeah, I understand that, I just thought he meant he had more space because fo global play & publishing, not because of your account.
How's terrain going? I want more screenshots XD

@zeldarules28: Go These mentors try to make you think they are the good guys, so helpful and all... but you never know the truth.
I'm glad you liked it. Maybe you could send me some screenshots of pokemon stat dialogs so I could add those to the screen.

@TheAlmaity: Go I always copy my posts when I write huge walls of text on mapster. It happened to me too many times.
