"A big ongoing wiki update to sort what is still up to date and reorganise (could apply a couple mapster members to such big task)"
Considering we failed over three years to transfer all the data from the legacy wiki (still an ongoing process)... I have been slowly working on it but so far me and fishy77 are the only people adding stuff. If you have an SC2 mapster account, you can log into the wiki and also help.

I say the general chat and off topic forums need to be next to each other. Wiki discussion could be merged into news since it has such low traffic. The map review and feedback could be combined with a sub forum for the map requests. There is no need for an introduction forum because what is on the main page should be sufficient and each individual forum usually has a sticky thread giving an introduction to the forum.
In the second section I would put the map showcase on top because that is what casual viewers will be most interested in followed by team recruitment and then the project workplace. The HOTS and WC3 forums could be merged and moved to the bottom of section 3.
The third section should keep all the forums but maybe rearrange the order so the least popular ones are at the bottom.
Section 4 should stay the same except the project workplace being moved to section 2.

Anyone with an SC2 master account can modify the wiki. It is a work in progress and many pages are currently placeholders waiting for someone to fill them. A wiki is not a one man show and needs everyone to help.

Considering all the other minecraft dedicated curse sites it is hardly surprising the old one became redundant.
I remember posts from Mr. Squirrels back before I was a moderator. Not seen him in years.
Still seeing about 2-3 spam posts a day here. At least there is now a button to report it as spam.
I just find their choice of timing to update the site was poor since over the Christmas/New Year holidays is where most people have time to do their hobbies and play games so the site would theoretically be busiest.
I question the validity of the first half of post #149...
So why to we need a page between the home page and the forums???
Lets just stick with wiki since there is already a tutorials list in the wiki.
What the hell is Pastebin? The radio sounds like it will have limited utility unless you find the sound of a hundred marines firing of therapeutic value.
Or you could just open a new window and go to youtube directly and listen to stuff in the background.
The livestreaming sounds good.
I strongly disagree with your proposed forum restructuring scheme. In the third block it should go triggers, data and terrain at the top because those are the most busy forums. The data assets are an important learning tool so the forum needs to stay unless they are to be relocated into projects. The Warcraft and hots forum could just be Other Blizzard Games. The assistance suffix should also be dropped because data editor and terrain editor etc. is sufficient for a title. AI and triggers are not synonymous so the forum should be called AI Scripting and Trigger Editor.
So how would this wiki be different?

There should be a way for people making a thread with the purpose of asking a question to mark the thread as solved so people asking the same question at a later date can quickly tell the thread contains the answers.
Unfortunately just before the holidays is when this site is the most busy because it is at the end of most study/work related obligations and just before Christmas. This is the time where SC2 fans have the time to do their hobby.

The old search on master would bug if you used more than a single word bringing up 75% of results that did not even contain either word on any page of the thread. The sort by date was also busted being unable to sort search results so that the newest threads were at the top or bottom.
Surprised you had not been notified because it had been that way for so long many people on mapster have given up complaining about it.
Edit: The Reply button seems to not be functioning atm...
True under your account settings you can adjust what you get email notification for. I just have it set for PMs.

How much is that image compared to a sc2 map? Still how many images before you hit the limit?

Just like the Indian change of currency (500 and 1,000 notes). A good idea but poorly planned

Actually there was a time during the last revamp that you could not upload sc2 map files. It was only temporary.
Still even in the old site there was a 10 mb per post limit (not like anyone ever reached that).

How much you uploaded over all your posts? I think it is counting every image and map you have ever posted towards the limit.

For now focus on the missing parts. We can always crop/update/reformat later.
In the case of the tilesets we can change the link to your more complete list.

Reply Scbroodsc2,
Start by going to the legacy wiki (https://web.archive.org/web/20160604202308/http://www.sc2mapster.com/wiki/galaxy/main-page/) and checking page by page what has not been transferred across to the current one.
Even if unformatted copy and paste, something is better than nothing.
