Hey all, Just made another video tutorial that covers how to do a Day and night system based in the Data Editor. Hope you like it and i hope its useful!
(note for the first few to look at it, Youtube is still Processing it for full HD!)
"Quick tutorial to demonstrate a simple Day and Night system. The Video does not cover how to work with the time via triggers but i have included a trigger library as an example.
Nice little extra tidbit for those tweaking lighting, if you test your map and leave it open and switch back to the lighting window and go to Data -> Auto Update Game any changes you make (or even if you change lighting sets) in the lighting editor will instantly reflect in the game (works very well with a multi-monitor setup). This makes it real easy to tweak your settings without having to restart testing your map each time. The terrain editor can reflect your changes as well but not nearly as well as the game itself.
Hello. It seems like a useful tutorial but there is one thing I can't seem to do.
I've done everything you suggested (numerous times actually) and I seem to hit a snag at 6:25. There is no "Lighting" field. I had the same problem earlier in the tutorial when setting the time of day. I fixed that by allowing the editor to show me advanced options (newby, I know) but that approach does not solve the problem this time.
I'm having numerous problems following this tutorial, the biggest one being your editor and my editor have ENTIRELY different fields. Is the beta vs release versions of the editor that different?
EDIT* Resolved! Don't ever accidentally go into raw data mode and forget that you did, and then forgot how to exit it :P

Any idea what I am doing wrong?
Keep up the good work!

The links for this tutorial are dead. Is anyone in contact with Bifuu or have them laying around somewhere??
