This is my first tutorial. This is for those of you who are new to the SCII Editor, I know I am. (I used the WC3 Editor a lot, but this is different.) So for this tutorial I am going to show you how to remove requirements for abilities.
For this tutorial, I am going to use Charge.
1. Bring up the Data Editor, then click on the Drop Down Menu and go to Requirements.
2.Then scroll down to the ability you want to modify. (In this case, the Charge ability.) The screen should look like this. (Unmodified)
3. Then click on the Value that's across from Requirements.
4. Then double click it, and a box should show up. From there, proceed to right click it and hit, remove Requirement Node.
There you have it, you can then use that ability without having to research it. If you also want to have only one unit use it, just create a copy of that ability in the Abilities Tab and then do the same as before.
There's another way of removing requirements: Go to the ability. Click on "Commands+" You'll see a big box that appears. Above, it'll say "Execute," then the ability name, and then something after it called "Use [Ability Name]" Select the line with Execute, and then look down to an open dialog box that says "Requirements" Click the red X in the corner, and it'll remove the requirement for Research.
WARNING: I recommend you make a COPY of the ability first. Otherwise, it'll remove the requirement for ALL the spells for all the units. I did this with my Hydra Hero. He has Burrow automatically researched, and Psionic Storm already researched. They are copies though, so High Templars will still need to research Psi Storm at the Templar Archives.
This is much simpler IMO. I hope I'm not stealing your thunder, though.
Oh, thanks! You should give some feedback in its empty thread. I haven't finished the campaign yet. :) Kheldrun is also being worked on for round 2 in SC2.
Thankyou for the quick short tutorial on removing requirements. Ive been doing a lot of the long tutorials on how to change weapons per character and others that have to use this in them. But now Ive figured its time to learn each step on its own so I can do my own creative things :)
Can we remove requirements for story mode ability, example: personal cloaking for ghost, immortallity protocol, upgrade for firebat,diamondback,...etc...?
I have edited it many times by your way but it didn't work...Althought the button appeared in game,it didn't have any effect of its upgrade

I hope this helped!
I am aware of the pictures not showing up, but I will fix this. I still can't get it to work. D:

No I don't care, I really liked your SC1 Campaign btw.

I heard! I've been reading the threads, and I have found out how to revive someone now, lol. Btw, I will definitely add some feedback.
