How do you hide the black box immediately above the command card?
The Black box is the battlenetfreinds button.
You can find it in Gameui with name something like battlenetfreinds.
And you just put a <Visible val="false"/> after the first line of the frame and it wont show up.
However I suggest you should reposition it instead...
Ah, so that's what that's for. Yeah, I'll just try to place that at the bottom right. But I'm going to run a really quick test to see if command card hotkeys still work if I move the command card off-screen (assuming that's possible).
EDIT: HAHAHA! Success! Great way to get around that limitation with hiding the game UI.
Wait so I import this file "Assets.txt" and does it specify in there the actual physical file? Like if I have a custom icon I want to use for 'silver' and 'gold instead of minerals and vespene... where do I specify that if I import it into my map?
I'm feeling pretty stupid, but I can't find the layout files :O
They are supposed to be in the map file, right? But I can't find any with ladiks mpq editor.

BattleBuddiesFrame, I believe. It does not change where the actual Battle.net button is, so hiding it is not a problem (it is simply the frame for the background). I wish it did, because I want the Battle.net button anchored to the bottom-center of the screen rather than the bottom-right.

2nd post now contains the UI information from the Aiur Chef map.
Has anyone figured out how to edit font styles using FontStyle.SC2Style? I edited some values in that file and imported it into the same location I found them, which was UI/ (also tried Base.SC2Data/UI) but didn´t do anything.
I´ll attach the original file from patch.SC2Archive\Mods\Core.SC2Mod\Base.SC2Data\UI
Edit: How I think FontStyles work:
The FontStyle.SC2Style file is a reference for all SC2Layout files. If a frame tags
edit: took a look at Helral's first screenshot of his custom command bar and he's got the hotkey's showing perfectly. how did you do it? maybe i wrote something that's hiding the hotkeys?
First posts are clearly outdated.
If you are using new templates, dont mess with the GameUIData.xml file. Just add the new .SC2Layout file to the UI-Custom Layout Files field that is located in the Game UI Data section of the data editor (all this does is make an entry for the Dlft).
Has anyone used new created template in a dialog yet?
I am having some trouble using my map template (basically just a large minimap w/o buttons and a border). It looks like this;
I added the .SC2Layout file to the Custom Layout Files field, so i have the right entry in the Dlft. I use the following line to add the template to my dialog;
All right guys, I am allmost done! I made a new UI, basically changed everything and there is one problem left that I cant fix.

The problem is; How can you cange the position of the group display (the one that lists all units that are selected) by maintaining its functionality?
What I know so far:
The group frame is located in the "InfoPanel" frame (from file "InfoPanel.SC2Layout") and called "InfoPaneGroup".
Its template is stored in "InfoPaneGroup.SC2Layout" but its empty (will probably be filled live ingame, don't know how that workes).
When you add anchors to "InfoPaneGroup" in file "InfoPanel.SC2Layout" you do move the ui but when you do it the functionality is lost (you can't select units or remove them from the list anymore).
Thanks in advance...

content of Assets.txt:
and in the import manager it looks like this:
Can't wait to start on this! Time to make a circular minimap with the command buttons surrounding it :D
How would I start when I only want to change the position of the hero icon?
@Rushhour: Go
look for the HeroPanel frame in the GameUI.SC2Layout file and aqdjust it's anchors.
can you use this to create more buttons instead of 15

I don't think the game itself supports more commandcard buttons then 15.

Perhaps you could add in the Command Card sheet 2?

this line is recalled in the FontStyles file
Edit2: Solved! The FontStyles file can simply be added in the Data Editor >> Default SC2 UI Settings >> Font Style Files.
I've created my own custom command card bar but I can't figure out how to get the hotkeys to show on the over the button.
I looked at the GameButton.SC2Layout file (which is the template for command buttons) and found
<Frame type="Label" name="HotkeyLabel">
<Anchor side="Top" relative="$parent" pos="Min" offset="8"/>
<Anchor side="Left" relative="$parent" pos="Min" offset="8"/>
<Style val="GameButtonCharge"/>
<RenderPriority val="516"/>
</Frame>

doh showing hotkeys on buttons is just an option in the game settings. is there any way to force this option to be on whilst playing my map?
also, is there a way to swap UI layouts dynamically through in-game triggers?
Is there any way to edit GameUI.SC2Layout or InventoryPanel.SC2Layout so that the inventory is open by default?

The game crashes everytime so I must have forgotten something...
This is the same question I have.
