@Dzuke911: Go
I couldnt find in my sc2 and I cant find it in the one which Fen1kz put here (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/19647338/Starcraft/UI.rar). I dont think its really there, I also tried to change it in data editor by making custom layout file and I couldnt.
hmmm, i really havent commandpanel.sc2layout in my patch mpq, i dont know why o0
Starcraft II\Versions\Base18092\patch.SC2Archive > Mods\UI\Layout\UI
so... its just files that changed in 1.3, not all files oh sh~
hmmm, I managed to figure out, you have to reach the buttons trough gameui...
I am also getting error message when I load the ui on the maps from which I removed my sc2layout, where I used the first method:
Properties detect for attach point
Ref_Weapon 06 which does not exist
WARNING Unable to create unit
actor. Creating fallback sphere unit.
How do I add new frame? I want to add background for stuff.
you just create a new frame for it. see below.
place the following in you SC2Layout overwrite file at the end (before the closing</frame>) of the frame in which you want to give a background:
<Frametype="Image"name="BackgroundImage"><Anchorside="Top"relative="$parent"pos="Min"offset="0"/><Anchorside="Bottom"relative="$parent"pos="Max"offset="0"/><Anchorside="Left"relative="$parent"pos="Min"offset="0"/><Anchorside="Right"relative="$parent"pos="Max"offset="0"/><Textureval="@@UI/RevealPanelBorder"/><!-- Set this value to the background image you want --><TextureTypeval="Border"/><!-- Change/remove this value if it isn't an image using the border grid --><RenderPriorityval="500"/></Frame>
Here is a problem which I cant solve. I want the unit info panel hideable by the trigger, but I dont want its background to be hided.
I tried to make background image in the ConsoleUIContainer but it doesnt works, before 1.3 I simply made image frame for it and it was done... but I cant do it anymore.
Helral it does seems you can make a frame in a frame but not in gameui...
How I move InfoPanel's Unit name and properties with overriding? I want to move Unit name and properties upper the wireframe.
(i'm sorry about my bad English)
the location for those are:
GameUI/UIContainer/ConsoleUIContainer/InfoPanel/InfoPaneUnit
That is the general location of the InfoPaneUnit stuff. you can move that entirely above the wireframe by doing something like this:
<Frame name='GameUI/UIContainer/ConsoleUIContainer/InfoPanel/InfoPaneUnit' file='GameUI' type='InfoPaneUnit'>
<Anchor side='bottom' pos='min' offset='10' relative='$parent/UnitPanel' />
<Anchor side='left' pos='min' offset='0' relative='$parent/UnitPanel' />
</Frame>
More question : are there some way to remove armor/shield icons?
Dunno about hiding it seperate from the weapon icon. Might be a setting for in the Data editor for that unit..
To remove all the shield/weapon/armor icons you can try:
<Frame name='GameUI/UIContainer/ConsoleUIContainer/InfoPanel/InfoPaneUnit/EquipmentPanel' file='GameUI' type='frame'>
<Visible val='false' />
</Frame>
Bah, i surrender...
so same 2 questions -
2) how to make changes in not GameUIOverride files?
like <frame name='someframe' file='MinimapPanel'>
and 1) how to remove console panel?

Where to look up the possible images here? Obviously, these are no file names.
@Helral: Go Finally I found out what was I am doing wrong, I was anchoring to frame which wasnt in the frame....
@Kueken531: Go http://static.sc2mapster.com/content/attachments/12/64/Assets.txt if I am right you can open most of the images here by the editor...
@Kueken531: Go
see the Assets.txt files in my first post, use the editor's image browser or import your own image for use.
Texture tags like this one are allowed:
<Texture val="Assets\Textures\ui_aiurchef_frame_recipe.dds" layer="0"/>
seems theres no possible way to change the amount of units that get listed in group selection through SC2Layout?
@maverck: Go
you mean per page?
Edit:
Just took a look inside the unitgroup layout file.....
there is nothing there that can help.
yea. kinda sucks =\

Why do you not want to use overriding?
He specifically asks, how to do it with overriding? o_o

<Anchor side='top' offset='3000' pos='max' relative='$parent' />

but the second one might also remove some other stuff.
