Hey. I made my first customed firebat and I learned lot of data editor during that :) Duplicating seems to be ok when you know what you can duplicate "safely". I also learned about how actors work on weapons. So I recommend to duplicate all actors too, that worked for my firebat.
How do you do this? The images don't show up anymore.
I 2nd/3rd this, I used to follow this tutorial all the time cuz i could never remember it (very bad memory) and would like to get back into doing custom units again.
This is rather difficult to follow without the images. Is there another source of info I can read up on about everything that is required to get a customized weapon working?
In short you need your weapon, a unit with the Attack ability and an effect tree for the weapon to use. For visuals you need an Action actor and if it launches missiles you will need a Missile actor that the action actor refers to.
