Is there anyway I could frame the minimap and portrait panel?! I'm getting mad to this.
I have tried everything but none of them work and if I do frames with dialog items they are all different on different screen resolution and I have no idea how to scale it with user resolution. :(

See the example layout file that adds a border to the minimap-panel and moves it.
Doing it for the portrait panel is done like the minimap just different anchors.
hrm since 1.4 I've noticed that any attempts to change the hero panel or armor/weapon displays have been thwarted.. I'll attach the files in question shortly..
Do you mean the armor and weapon icons? mines actually stayed hidden O_o however they way ive done it might be abit messy 'cause i did not refer to the said icons specifically in my override file.
Great tutorial thanks a lot. I just downloaded and used your files and hid the mini map with triggers because that was exactly what I wanted it to look like. My only problem is that my game is broken down into levels. For some reason when I switch to level 2 (with a quick transfer of the unit to a neutral player in between) the buttons don't show on the command card anymore. The buttons are still there because I can use them, they are just invisible.
yes, it works, thanks! EDIT: there is no "Thanks" of "+Rep" button?
erm... can you tell me more about the "Anchor"? I want to move the "HeroPanel", the panel that shows hero's icon F2, F3,... to top left of the screen, just below the Menu Bar, so I have this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes"?><Desc><Frametype='HeroPanel'name='GameUI/UIContainer/FullscreenUpperContainer/HeroPanel'file='GameUI'><Anchorside="Top"relative="$parent"pos="Min"offset="40"/><!-- MenuBar's height is 30 --><Anchorside="Left"relative="$parent"pos="Min"offset="112"/></Frame></Desc>
I'm attempting to add a border image, similar to the mini-map border demonstrated, to my command card. I'm not getting any errors, but I'm also not seeing anything.
If it's of any consequence to this border (though I don't think that it is), I have moved the command panel in the direction of the bottom left, with a button layout that looks like this:
05 06 07 08 09
00 01 02 03 04 10 11 12 13 14
Once I can actually see it, I'll be able to reposition it just fine... Need help finding out why I can't, though.
Hi all.
How to add labels with constant text to frames? For example label with text "abilities" to middle of CommandPannel.
use this frame type:

great tutorial herlral!
Just a question about creating image, in the example (from petrov1) -
<Texture val="@@UI/TimerWindowBackground" layer="0"/>
where are you getting the texture value from?
it seems similar to using in triggers - create image for dialog using x.dds but it isnt?
Any help how to move the ObjectivePanel anywhere else on the screen is much appreciated :)

the Assets.txt files contain these. but you can also place a direct dds file name there without prefixing it with @@.
this is the frame location you need to use.

Hey there,
I got some problems with hiding the unit life label. I tried this :
Or even this :
...but it doesn't work. Have you any idea how to hide it ?
Thanks alot !
By the way, very great tutorial, thanks a lot ! :)
Hey, I Tried
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes"?> <Desc> <Frame type="CommandPanel" name="GameUI/UIContainer/ConsoleUIContainer/CommandPanel" file="GameUI"> <Anchor side="Right" pos="Mid" relative="$parent" offset="0"/> <Anchor side="Left" pos="Mid" relative="$parent" offset="0"/> <Width val="1200"/> <Height val="80"/> <Frame type="CommandButton" name="CommandButton05" <Anchor side="Top" relative="$parent/CommandButton04" pos="Min" offset="0"/ <Anchor side="Left" relative="$parent/CommandButton04" pos="Max" offset="#CommandButtonGap"/> </Frame> <Frame type="CommandButton" name="CommandButton10" <Anchor side="Top" relative="$parent/CommandButton09" pos="Min" offset="0"/ <Anchor side="Left" relative="$parent/CommandButton09" pos="Max" offset="#CommandButtonGap"/> </Frame> </Frame> </Desc>
As it said in your tutorial just to see if it worked but when i tested the map it said
[CommandPanelAdjust.SC2Layout:In 9:col 7] DocumentError: CommandPanelAdjust.SC2Layout(9,7) : XML: not well-formed (invalid token):
Does anyone know why it doesnt work? (Sorry for being dumb)
BTW its written exatly like in the tutorial.

Nevermind. I took out a cinematic and for some reason it works now.
I want to edit the texture of hero's XP Bar and I found this:
I think have to change the line <Texture val="@@UI/ProgressQueue"/> but where is @@UI/ProgressQueue? is it defined somewhere?
I want to change that to my texture, what should I do?
@TomKazansky: Go
The textures are defined in Assets.txt, but there's more than one and I'm not exactly sure how find and overwrite it :P
You can just paste in the path to the texture file itself in there and it will work.
Example:
yes, it works, thanks! EDIT: there is no "Thanks" of "+Rep" button?

How to move objective panel?
Hi, I have a Minimap problem, when I anchor MinimapPanel the Minimap is not completly in the middle but it goes more on bottom/right.
(My MinimapPanel is in bottom/right corner with little bit of offset.)
EDIT: (Fixed)
