i suggest the tutorial on youtube "advanced tower defense" by OneTwoSC. It's a great tutorial, i learned only from him(and a little self learning) and he has around 50 or more video's! He has tutorials on defense maps, spells, upgrades, dialog, everything! Just search around a bit in his video's. Also, he does some great explaining! this is like #2000 (actually #301)
Id like to see a tutorial that explain how to add animation to a ability progress (Example)Add a animation when the unit is casting(Phase) the ability, and the casting long for 10 seconds, so a animation that last 10 seconds.
P.s i dint find any tutorial about this, perhaps there is, but i dint find one...so help will be nice.
Thx
Would it be possible to make a tutorial explaining what the actor events involving attachments and SOps do? I have tried to use the Attachment Set Rotation event without much luck and am unable to get the Rocker SOp event to target attachments (only am able to get the rocker to work on host model). Could someone please write a tutorial explaining in detail how to manipulate these events or at least explain what the things like ::Signal mean/come from.

Hello, I would like a concierge to direct me to any threads/tutorials that help setup a basic Tug of War map like Nexus wars, Desert Strike, Income wars. Better yet, someone who I can talk to and discuss what I want to get out of the map and how it can be effectively done on Galaxy. My goal is to effectively use the Galaxy and not end up with 1,000 basic triggers lol. I am still learning an utilizing the Tutorials and Videos here.
Things I need to help wrap my head around:
- Creating a dialog system for character selection screen at map initialization
- setup a countdown timer and spawn sequence for each player
- setup a system of checking and evaluating what each player has built and what units will be spawned
- this map should also be allowed to run effectively in 1v1, 1v2, 3v2, etc (multiple variants)
Hi guys, Newbie here. I am learning a lot from this site as well as from the video tutorials. I have a game in mind, was wondering if its i possible for the galaxy editor to make a turn-based game. For Example: Team one (30 seconds), end turn, then Team two..etc
Could some one please post a tutorial about, what the basic structure of the Caster abilities are such as PSI Storm or the basic structure of call down abilities such as Nuke or Drop Pods, as well as behavior abilities like when you click the button then it gives the caster a temporary behavior... the reason why I say "The basic structure" is because i need to know what to do to create the abilities and where all the points of origin are ( if you know what I mean :P ) so I can create my own ability. I'm tired of people posting vids on how to create a specific ability, well I know they are just examples but that example is not helping me figure out how every thing is done.... so please can some one post this kind of tutorial?...
I am trying to have a region full of units, and when a timer expires, all of the units in the region are moved to another point.
I am not too experienced with sc editor. This seems to be pretty simple trigger to put together, but whenever I test it in game I can never get it to work.
I'm too lazy to check, but are there any tutorial requests on hero respawns? I've tried both of onetwo's tutorials and a whole bunch of forums.
The problem I'm having is that my hero just doesn't show up. I've tried making a new unit at the point, using the hero revive function then moving it, and custom scripts.
General - Custom Script: UnitRevive(EventUnit());
Unit - Set (Triggering unit) Life (Percent) to 100.0
Unit - Move (Triggering unit) instantly to EndingPoint (No Blend)
this works for me fine. also i think you need change your display portrat to static img not motion gif
I was wondering if anyone could write up at tutorial on how someone could go about having a marine be built as a structure from a builder then when the round starts all of the marine "buildings" would change into actual marine units and fight as they would then at the end of the round they would all rest back to the marine "buildings".
Im fairly new to SC2 mapping..Ive been looking around a lot on this site, its extremely useful. I haven't been able to find anything on this.
Hi, i was wondering if it would be possible to have a tutorial on how to make your unit's move a certain way. I would like to have a tutorial on how to make a Final Fantasy Tactic's Combat System. If anyone is willing to do this. it would help out alot in the custom map i am trying to put together. thanks
Hi, i'm working on quite a complex map, and being only intermediate with the Starcraft 2 Editor, i'm in need of a bit of help in some areas.
I can do all the basics in the data and trigger editors, and understand most of the custom UI layout files if thats neccessary information for anyone willing to help.
What I need is:
- Information on how to create a custom resource, display it next to minerals at the top right of the screen and change the icon.
- A guide on changing the time taken to build a structure.
- A guide for importing custom buttons icons.
- A guide to changing the CONSTRUCTION model of a building (Not the model when its built).
If anyone could be kind if enough to produce a tutorial on any of the above, i'd be really greatful, plus invite you to test the Beta of the map when its near completion (if you wanted).
Daleeron you need to take a look around before just posting about what you're looking for. I know for a fact that there are multiple tutorials on each subject that you requested help with on this site.

I want to know how to see a UNIT's animations in the previewer
agreed
How to make a projectile that shoots through units, does damage, and then dies when it hits a doodad.
When viewing at the unit, press "+" or "-" on the NumBlock
Unit aims where you look but you do not have to type it by hand like traceline :)
