so like how to make a save/load trigger i geuss it would be thats saves money items exp blah blah blah just about everything like in a normal rpg
I would be very interested in a tutorial which focuses on creating unit frames. e.i. frames with a little picture of the unit, including health and possibly energy bars without the use of boss bars. I know there's a lot of threads around, but seeing as this is a feature a lot of people will be using I see no reason to not make it a full tutorial :)
1: A beam fence. Basically, a structure (lets say a pylon copy) that when placed within a certain vicinity of another of it's kind creates a beam between the units. Any enemy unit crossing the beam takes damage and/or is knocked back. Ideally to be able to create a ring of these around your base, or use two to block a ramp, etc.
2. An Impact knockback. Basically, a unit that when it touches an enemy unit blasts them backwards, but this ability would have an extended duration (say 15-20 seconds). Think of an ultralisk running through a crowd of zerglings and making a straight line through them scattering any in it's path.
Does anyone know a way to implement GLOBAL COOLDOWNS? Just like in WoW. The potential problem i see here is how do you make it so that when global cooldowns pop, the abilities that are currently cooling down remain the same and not reset. I'm planning to make a map that uses skills with cooldowns that can reach as much as 5 minutes.
How to work Story Mode. Even without the cinematics but how to create a basic between-missions interface for research/mercenaries/upgrades etc. like on the Hyperion.
Anyways, it's a little difficult for me because i use a macbook with no mouse, but that's not what i'm requesting. What I AM requesting, is;
A- How could one get a WoW model pack, and how could someone import said pack into the map editor.
B- How does one program abilities, and make them level-up able. By an extension, also, upgrades.
and C- How does one make a page-inside a page (click on upgrade button on unit, go to upgrade page).
If anyone could help me with these, I'd be forever in their debt, as long as it works.
I'd love to see a tutorial for setting up basic missile attacks. Perhaps I'm just stupid in the face, but I cannot find one anywhere on the site. All I want is to be able to copy a hydralisk, change some stats, and still have all of the pretty pretty animations...but no...
you have to go to the triggermenu and delet the mapintialization to get rid of winconditions. only for testing, in a completed map u have to redo the winconditions
A Tutorial to create units and wireframe icons.
I know i can start with the previewer . I isolated the model (without ground) i created a custom portrait (80x80 for the unit icon and 144x144 for the wireframe). I pressed Stamp button and imported jpgs (screenshots) in photoshop but then i'm a bit lost. How can i create a black and white effect similar to the wireframe icons ?

I would like to see a tutorial abouth homing missiles. I know you could do it with setting x and y velocity, but I just cant quite figure out how....

Also, i'm testing my units, and whenever i test it, it says victory immediatly. How to i fix that.
