I appreciate everyone is making tutorials and helping other people out with their maps. you have no idea how big you are contributing to the social community of map makers! some guides are just f n amazing its incredible how smart you guys are figuring how to tweak stuff to your liking. im getting into the map making myself and i just love this website, the admins and users,
P.S I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!! no homo (im a guy and this is not a troll)
I feel the same way. I started using the editor not too long ago and if it wasn't for these folks I would have definitely given up by now. Every single question I've asked has been answered by someone, and I only wish I could help people out as much as I've been helped. Thanks guys!
I just started making maps, a few tutorials from these geniuses i was able to understand everything. Without these tutorials I wouldn't be making any progress at all. So far each tutorial takes me every step of the way, helping me accomplish what I want. And every progress gives me satisfaction. The SC2Mapster community is awesome!!! So awesome it seems like we can take over Blizzard.
These forums are way better than blizzards (In my option. Blizzard only lets you post or edit once a minute..ugg). But yea, thanks to tutorials here I got waaay better at the editor. I even was very good at wc3 edit and I was confused. But now I understand it and I can make my on maps and my own tutorials. Ifs amazing how often sc2 maspter is the top result if you search for tutorials in google.

lol i still get problems with the tutorials too, but with enough practice it'll drill into my mind what things to do and what not to do. its the fun of figuring how things react to one another, some terms like pitch yaw axis and stuff like that is kinda confusing to me even though i know what it means. kinda mind boggling. but i have to agree this is the place to be if u want to get into editing, and i hope blizzard starcraft developers visit this forum and site often to see what the community is demanding.
I want to thank everyone that I have not had a chance to thank in IRC for the tutorials. You guys are largely responsible for making it possible for the masses to make custom maps. Your tutorials really do make the difference between success and failure. Hopefully in the future, once I learn the editor a little bit better, I will be able to post some tuts! But, until then, I will keep using the abundance we have here. Thanks again, +77 cookies to all tutorial makers.
There's no need to feel intimidated. Even some of the guys here that seem to know everything are still learning. Onetwo was my gateway into the editor, and now I know certain things well enough to make tutorials of my own. But don't forget that we're all still learning and don't be afraid to ask questions, even if they seem stupid to you. This is a great community and no-one is going to tell you "that's such a stupid newbie question, I hate you." :P
Praise be sc2mapster (and youtube) and their helping contributors!
If it wasnt for you guys I would still be scratching my head, trying to figure out how to even copy a unit.
Hopefully I will be able to start contributing to the community soon as well. Probably not with the data editor though!
