tital says it all, i've imported a couple humanoid creatures into my map, and a couple weapons, and i cant seem to get them to hold the weapons
EDIT: i've got the attached model to show up on the unit, the only problem is that it's almost "frozen" in air, when the host unit moves the attache weapon stays still, also the weapon faces the wrong direction.
Why did you post a question in the tutorial section?
You are suppost to post tutorials here.
Though, i do think that the attachment points dissaper with the current converter, if thats true, then you cant attach them yet.
I hope that they add support for it (if they havent done so already, i have not had time to check), since currently it is almost impossible to find any units using bows. It is kind of frustrating.
pm me for instructions how do do this. I will reply as soon as i can. And maybe make a Tutorial. I have got it workin. Also i am now trying to import Characters and attach shoulders and Helmet.
What i do is import the model to 3ds max and the weapon, then I place the weapon in the model's hand and use the Link tool to link the weapon to the right hand bone of the model, it's easy.

Sorry for posting here, i was looking for help/tutorial so i figured this would be the place to put it.
ive been trying to attach them via the data editor in Galaxy editor not the WOW model converter. although i too hope they add support for attaching weapons and characters.

The tutorial found here might be helpful for allowing the weapon to move.

the way i do it is only import the weapon to 3ds max and rotate it. Of course i guess there are several ways.
I find my way a little bit easyer. But you can decide for yourself.
I will post my tutorial in 1-2h. Its rendering now and uploading.
My predicament is very similar to this. I need to attach stuff in the exact same way only to different attachment points.
Bumping for link to the so-said tutorial.
