Damn it... Well thanks for asking him that confirms the majority of my suspicions. Tad upsetting that it doesn't have anything like those. Hopefully it'll help prompt them to add them.
Kinda yea, doubt the overwrite method would stick though. Even if I did it could get very tricky if I wanted to use several textures same unit without importing models.

Did someone mention hackery with aliases?

That's something I don't know how to use. If you could explain it I'd very much appreciate it.

Well it's relevance in the CE, or how it's used. I played with it a bit in the CE but it basically did nothing useful.
With actors aliases are just a strings used to refer to groups of actors like the tech tree aliases with units.

Yes but how exactly would this be helpful, how would I use this to possibly change textures.
@JacktheArcher: Go
To change textures you can import a texture with the same name as the one you want to replace, and it willl be replaced.
@Zolden: Go
Yea I know, but I'm trying to avoid that as it overwrites the original texture which I'd like to use.

Can't you record in another map and then play it in yours?
Still alive and kicking, just busy.
My guide to the trigger editor (still a work in progress)

It's now possible to create models with RTT with the m3addon. Your tutorial helped me figuring out how to test models with RTT textures. Thanks!
