Behavior Part
1)Open Data Editor
2)Open Behaviors Tab
3) right click on the list and hit "Add Object..."
4) Name it.
5) Set Behavior Type to Veterancy
6) Leave the Rest and Hit Ok
7) In the Right area of the screen you will see the Data associated with this behavior
8 ) Select "VeterancyLevels" and Double Click or Right Click > Modify
9) Figure out whats you need in this and add some levels. (Don't have time to play with it.)
10 ) Back in the main data view find Experience Fraction > Modify Change Kills to whatever or leave at 1
Hero Part
1) Copy or Create a hero in the data editor (Same was as creating a behavior)
2) Stats - Flags > Modify > Check "Hero"
3) Behaviors > Modify > Green box on right for New behavior > Add Your behavior created above
Units giving XP
1) Select your unit that will be dying and giving XP.
2) Find attribute "Data - Kill Experience" on the right columns. Set to EXP level.
I made up to step 6 on the tutorial, but then ran into a problem. After I create the behavior, the only modifiable field is "Race" :( ... I'm not sure where I went wrong.
Also, is it possible to add behaviors to units who have no pre-existing behaviors? I noticed that units without pre-existing behaviors have no green box in which I may add new behaviors. :(
EDIT: I'm 100% sure that the Behavior Type is Veterancy
Yes it is possible to add to pre-existing behaviors.
You can double click them even if they are grey or something. Just double click the empty field (not the name)
one issue i am having is that my hero unit gets to level 3 (out of 6) and then stops all actions. and is unresponsive too.
it may just be how i duplicated it. (because he doesn't have all the right commands either...)
i'll work on it. but great tutorial!
