Never have been easier, you only need to set up one action called: "Donation Button" to enable that players could donate to you using your map...
Of course you must have a PayPal account and you must know the Email address you use for it. Also its good if you check what currency you use as you will be able to set that too.
When somebody donates to you with it, you will able to see the map's name and the player's battle.net handle.
This the first Library I made so it might not be perfect and I only used gui.
Its an interresting idea, however i dont think we need a library that just shows some sort of dialog with the link.
Also im not sure if its comfortable enough for the people to use it, since they have to select the link, copy it by using hotkeys, then tab out of sc2, open their browser and paste the link. Compared to clicking a donate button on a website it really means alot more work for the player.
That being said i would probably go for just telling the user that he can donate by visiting the website and putting this on the loading screen.
It might be a good way of using paypal for people that dont have a website for their maps though. However most big maps that get donations have a website anyways.
This altogether doesn't seem to warrant being called a resource, and the association with Paypal is superficial. It consists of a single action to create and configure a dialog and its controls, a single trigger to enable visibility of the dialog, and some global variables. Methodological issues aside (initializing the dialog with an action instead of a custom event definition), it's not approved because it's trivial.
This would make a great example for users new to triggering, because it demonstrates how to trigger a response to a button, how to customize a dialog's appearance, and how to make nice use of an edit box dialog control. It's simply not significant enough to be a resource, though.
Dialog, edit box, button, trigger. If this sounds non-trivial to you, you're welcome to promote it on your forum.
Novel ideas do not a resource make, nor even good ideas; good implementations of good ideas, consistent with community values, that save users non-trivial time otherwise spent making their own implementations, that's worth being called a resource.
I dont mean any offense, But I wouldnt feel comfortable as a player clicking this, and then using the link... plus it makes it look like you only map for money...
just saying, Though I do like having the option of donating, I think it would be MUCH better, if it was a dialog with the link thats created when the player types /donate
and have it in the loading screen say, Tip: Type /Donate for a donate link.
And even my way I wouldnt feel confortable having this link. PLUS, though Im 99% sure I am wrong, this could be seen as advertising for paypal if you display their logo, but the only map that has been taken down for that was Squad TD and that was because it was a Rival games logo i believe. So i wouldnt worrie about that, but I would keep that tiny detail in mind. But personally I doubt theirs any risk, just dont add the actual logo and that 1% goes to 0%

Paypal rules 70% of the online "marketing money storage market". [Maybe even more] Idk if they're gonna care if they're really going to care if there's one little button in one little awesome custom map that has their name on it. Especially if it means their customers are going to be depositing more money.

Players will get links like this: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_donations&[email protected]&item_number=Random+TD++2-S2-1-913984¤cy_code=EUR Dont give me credit, give credit yourself:D
You can get the library from here: http://www.sc2mapster.com/assets/library-paypal-button/
This is a smart idea. Too bad I didn't think of it a year ago when ETD was rocking on BNET 0.2.

Too bad we can't do external links from within the game. Or... can we? o.o
In any case, this submission needs some work before it can reach approval status. I'll add it to the list as 'unapproved' until it gets fixed up.

@JademusSreg: Go
Given the utter lack of resources I don't think it is wise to reject this. The resource itself is simple but the idea is novel.

Now thats cool, I do really like that, But is it just whoever hits teh button? or how does that part work?

EDIT: I also notice it says control + V to copy..
@Doubleclick123:
yeah i dont think they would, thats why I said I am 99% sure I am wrong lol, But just something small to keep in mind.
Do love the idea though, So simplistic. Button Hit, Create the dialog with the copyable information.
Better yet, make a copy to clipboard button.
