So I was using this and I forgot to hit restore after playing a few games with friends. Tried deleting my map cache and re-downloading lost temple but it seems to not be swapping the correct map anymore, any ideas?
Motive, there is still a problem when trying to use the Mapcraft.exe file on Windows XP (EU). Gives the same error message. (Application directory bla bla).
As I said, 1.2 is only a quick fix for Windows XP enUS clients that maintain the default path of C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\. If the path is any different at all, it'll fail.
Edit #2: I will be updating MapCraft again with a rewrite soon to fix Windows support once and for all, and enhance overall usability.
So I downloaded MapCraft 1.4 and I'm having trouble launching a map that I downloaded on teamliquid. I just browse and select the map, and then press launch, but nothing happens. Is there something I'm neglecting to do?

Do you receive any errors or just nothing happens?
The only reason this could happen is if your Starcraft App setting is wrong. By default this is "/Applications/Starcraft II Beta/Starcraft II.app", but you can change it to point to the right .app under the Settings tab.
Are you running the latest version of SC2? You're using the Mac Client and not Windows in BootCamp, correct? Also, you have the legal Beta, not a torrented crack/hack?
That's accomplished using Terminal right? I'm sorry I'm such a computer noob =\
so i typed in
open "/Applications/Starcraft II Beta/Starcraft II.app" args run "/Downloads/build order tester v2.4.SC2Map"
into the terminal line, pressed enter, and nothing happened again.
If NOTHING happens at all, then something's gotta' be wrong with your SC2 or Mac OS X install.
Your path for the map though looks wrong, too. "/Downloads/build order tester v2.4.SC2Map" would be what you're looking for.
Though SC2 should at least open even if that's wrong.
Arrrrgh this is kinda driving me nuts. I was able to play my custom map vs. 7 (Blizzard) AIs FFA online using this multiplayer map injector but for some reason it will *NOT* work with custom AI files! I am using the patch-13 compatible method of replacing the Base.SC2Data file under Mods\LibertyMulti.SC2Mod as outlined here.
I have already tested loading the AIs on Blizzard's maps online so I know that works. I have also tested offline loading of my custom map along with the custom AIs using SC2Allin1 launcher and that works fine but I cannot save replays and see the AIs build orders, etc. I am using WinXP Pro 32bit and as stated, the map injector works perfectly when the original Base.SC2Data is intact and playing with my custom map, but not with custom Base.SC2Data.
Is there any way to help me troubleshoot this? Thanks for the great tool and I hope we can get it working for my purpose :)
Edit: By the way the error I am getting is "Unable to open map" this shows up about halfway through attempting to load the game (3-5 seconds). NO MAP LOADING SCREEN appears except for the black background and green bar (*not* map bg and blue multiplayer loading bar) regardless of using proper Blizzard map or not. When using Blizz map and MapCraft usually this shows properly.
Then when it crashes, the b.net interface disappears and I only see the planet and battlecruiser floating around. It still moves and music plays but the only thing I can see on my whole screen is the small green "friends man" bar and the little speaker indicator floating right where they would be above the actions panel as when in a game. I can click this and see my friends list and that's it. Then when I try to restore the map with MapCraft I get "An unknown swapping error has occurred". :(

I think i got basically the same problem.
When i type that command in terminal... i get this...
open: unrecognized option `--args'
Usage: open [-e] [-t] [-f] [-W] [-n] [-g] [-h] [-b <bundle identifier>] [-a <application>] [filenames]
Help: Open opens files from a shell.
By default, opens each file using the default application for that file.
If the file is in the form of a URL, the file will be opened as a URL.
Options:
-a Opens with the specified application.
-b Opens with the specified application bundle identifier.
-e Opens with TextEdit.
-t Opens with default text editor.
-f Reads input from standard input and opens with TextEdit.
-W, --wait-apps Blocks until the used applications are closed (even if they were already running).
-n, --new Open a new instance of the application even if one is already running.
-g, --background Does not bring the application to the foreground.
-h, --header Searches header file locations for headers matching the given filenames, and opens them.
Anyway to get around this? Or, what does this mean?
Oh, i am on OS X 10.5.8 by the way... could that be a reason?
Same as me! :P

@Logikz0: Go
If you close w/o hitting restore, it should restore the file anyways. There's a hook on the window close action that takes care of it.

Updated to MapCraft 1.4. 1.3 has been skipped due to problems with doing basic math. AKA, it was forgotten.
1.4 works with Patch 13 and all of it's map publishing features and makes it very easy to fix any path issues you may have.
1.4 also changes the default multiplayer map to EXTINCTION due to it's 8-player count, and is thusly NO LONGER COMPATIBLE WITH ANY OTHER MAP LAUNCHER.

That isn't the right app?
which application am I looking for?
You want that app, just make sure it's pointing to the correct directory.
It is pointing to the sc2 app, but it's still not opening. i tried updating my java settings and all that, but nothing happens :l
Can you try opening a command line? Type this in.
Be sure to replace "/Path/To/SC2Map" to any .SC2Map's location.

@Randomrambler: Go
Apparently 10.6.x upgraded the "open" utility.
