Would this be possible and could someone attempt it if it is feasible? All I'm requesting is that cliffs be made even all the time, like they we're in WC3. Here's a screenshot of what I'm talking about:
Also, would it actually crash the game, and could you still upload the map to battle.net without issue? I'm thinking it probably wouldn't, but I'm not 100% on how SC2 handles this in-game.
wait... what you would to change? cliff pathing? I'm not totally sure, but it is probably possible in data editor. Editor modification isn't easy thing though. And i can't imagine how to do that.

I'm pretty sure you can't actually do it directly in the editor cause unless you can edit the size of the cliff somewhere you cant do this.
I see there a problem of design, not the editor. You just wrongly done the terrain. That problem of yours is simply avoidable. Just remake the hills (scale smth up, or down).

Recreate the terrain try it yourself. This isn't the only place this happens in my map, and I'm not going to change the terrain completely to cater to this problem. I'm doing a remake of a WC3 map. I just would love to figure out a fix for it.
I have a done version of vampirism. And remaking that terrain (by just copying, moving, and raising some cliffs) is EASY. And not time consuming. There is no problem in the editor, all tiles are normal size. Cliffs are using a 1x1 square of terrain, while your trees footprint take 2x2. That's in the sc2 ver, in wc3 ver - everything 1x1. See the problem? It's not the editor, it's just your planning. And that's why I suggest you to redo your terrain.

Are you suggesting I do 1x1 trees? Do you know how many I currently have in my map? 1600. Imagine how many I'd have with 1 per cell. And my map is not done, I've only terrained maybe 3 of the sides of the map, nvm the center. I get your point about the terrain being remade cause SC does terrain differently, but I'm not sure making the trees 1x1 is going to solve it, cause in the end it's probably going to end up causing A LOT more problems then it fixes.
No, no. Making trees 1x1 will make it hell of a job to place em. I tell you that you make the lower area wider for 1 square (as an example for screen), then move all the trees a little, and do that kind of job for everything else.

What do you mean by "even as in wc3"?
I want to know if it's possible to recreate this in the galaxy editor and how, and if someone could manage to do it I'd give them mad props.
Never had any problems with that... Allways cliffs were placed as needed. Can't you just raise a cliff 1 cell more?
I'm already using all three levels. And no, I cant, not in this particular part.

I probably have no idea what you are trying to do but I'll try and help......
You cannot place doodads (trees) too close the the cliff?
Couldn't you double click the tree and set ignore placement properties and then place them on the edge of the cliff?
already doing this on the corners, doing it on the sides results in the tree actually appearing off the cliff... not what I want.
Why not just do some recliffing? :D Thats much SIMPLIER! :D
