Haha when I saw this game name on the list I thought it would be boring but it was actually really fun and really well done. The music and everything you did was very cool.
Thank you very much for all the mispelled words. I've fixed all of them, and I think the "Instant Draw" glitch was also fixed. The other ideas will take more time to implement. :)
I'd like to make a suggestion. On the US version, please don't use the UK spellings of words. I always screw up on the British -ous words, and words like aluminum (apparently the british spell it with an i, making it aluminium).
Also, awesome map, thanks for the carpal tunnel :P
And I also have a few questions, oftentimes my team has typed WAY more words than the opponents, but we get totally 1 sidedly raped. Like 1st place will be some1 on their team with 200 words typed, 2nd and 3rd will be 2 of my team with 190 and 180, and then the fourth place will have like 40 words typed. I don't understand how I can literally double (or even more) the words typed of my opponents, and not even damage their nexus. How does this even work?
EDIT: Also, the math is VERY inconsistent, and none of it is actually hard (a few collosi made me think a bit). I've only run into a couple that I had to think more than like 2 seconds about. (carriers are way too easy, throw some multiples of 7 or 13+ in there or something)
EDIT EDIT: more misspellings I noticed (theres a lot more, i forgot to jot them all down)
Perseverant is misspelled
ALso, in one of my games a collosi spawned without anything above its head, we had to psi storm it to kill it.
I'm trying to replace the British words for American words. "The turtle" is not the 4th place, but the last place (6th).
You can be a much faster typer and lose because you need much more than just type. You need to kill the stronger units first, you need to spawn units, you need to use nuke, psi storm, you need to build towers, and research upgrades. Typing fast is your best gun, but not all your guns.
The math wasn't suppose to be hard. Easy math is addiction, Normal math is subtraction, Hard math is multiplication. 2 seconds thinking about is already considered hard, specially when you have 20 carriers to kill.
The mispelled words, can you make a list for me? I would be glad.
Rodrigo, you've got a habit of making maps (and added videos) of which I can't decide whether they're downright lame or hilarious. I've made my mind up about this one though, I lol'd quite a bit at that video and will check it out. Nice going, it's like Nexus Wars but actually fun!
Thanks for all the suggestions, I'm reading all of them carefully.
I've seen many people spawning just a few types of units. So, I'm concerned about units balance. Is there some unit that is too cheap? too expensive for its type? I plan to improve the cost of the units in the next version.
In my opinion, there is little reason to purchase units until you have massive income and can overwhelm your opponent. The defenses/storm/nuke (or merely typing them out) can take out any early rush of units. By the time you have massive income, the only units worth your while are the most expensive ones, specifically the Thor, particularly because of the unit cap.
Now that I think about it, you may want to begin the game with higher income, but make the highest-tier units cost income (and make them slightly more difficult to spell out.)
Yea I agree with this. I've notioced most people go for 1 income in gas, then jsut mass income into minerals, once their income is super high jsut mass thors. I've played a few game where masses of thors were thrown at each other repeatedly, however those were some of the most intense games.
Hardly anyone spawns lower units.
IMO, the lower units should spawn in groups and/or spawn from different areas, although make sure they are spread out enough, I've had someone mass zerglings, and i couldnt see the words to type to kill them, however cannons took them out easy enough.

The income is +2. I plan to increase it to +3 in the next version and see people's reaction.
I played the map a couple of times today, it was great. Just one thing both my and my pall had troubles with, though - it's rather annoying that you have to use your mouse to scroll around the map but really need both your hands on the keyboard to type. Might it be an idea to set up a couple of simple triggers that allow you to use the 1, 2, 3 and 4 buttons to swap the cameras to the spawning areas? This would mean you could keep both hands on the keyboard while playing the map and didn't constantly have to switch between the mouse and keyboard, making the thing a lot more dynamic.
Any other keyboard-controlled camera system could work, but setting up four key points was my first, only and best idea.
The best NWW players don't even touch the mouse. You can play only using the keyboard. Use the arrows to move the camera, and the hotkeys to spawn units. :)
2 seperate times during this game, a collosus was created for the enemy team and it had no text or math on it. Wierd, cuz other collosus were fine..but it sucks having a colossus destroy your base and not being able to do anything

Indeed. No more cannon cheese. No more 2 hours match. No more 1500 words typed.
By the way, I believe soon the database will increase from 1,300 words to 4,000 words.
Isn't it the complete opposite? If you have restricted income wouldn't it take longer to build up armies etc... But yeah if it works for everyone then sure.

Awesome! Glad I could help. :)
The game was updated with hundreds of words fixed!

Woah, latest change... MAX income is 10 minerals and 5 gas?
That changes everything.
Your maps are unique and fun, Rodrigo. Any plans for map #3?
Thanks, but no, I have no plans for a 3rd map yet. I will try to focus a little bit at college because making NWW took all my study time.
