Test your skills as a commander in this tactical defense game, where you and up to six other players attempt to protect your colony from hordes of enemies, while saving as many refugees as you can. The map has a very simple layout, allowing newcomers to sink their teeth into the standard defense formula but those who stick with it will find a wealth of strategic choices and abilities at their disposal. Be warned: reaching and completing the final level, even on the easiest settings, is no easy task.
Equipped with its own set of achievements, nine factions to play as, multiple difficulty settings, multiple ways to win, and a simple, yet effective tech tree, this game provides a ton of replayability, while giving everybody enough options to grant them a comfortable challenge for them to settle in to.
So what are you waiting for? Get out there and defend your colony!
I look forward to your feedback. Anything from whether you enjoy the game or not, to bug reports, or even balancing opinions. I WANT TO HEAR IT. Feel free to post here. And just ahead of time, I’d like to say that if you recognize this game form Warcraft (doubt many will), it was designed to be a faithful recreation, while adding a bunch of new features and removing bad ones. I created both the old Warcraft III version and this new one, so I haven’t stolen anything.
Just thought I'd give an update here. I hosted the game a couple times to get the ball rolling popularity wise about 24 hours ago, and it has been growing rapidly since. I just broke the 450 games per hour mark (even though it isn't really per hour). Unfortunately, only one person has given any feedback :(. I have a patch incoming, once I do a little bit more testing.

I played it for a bit. Though the genre isn`t really my kinda thing, I think what you have there is pretty cool and unique for people that like those types of maps. It has a lot of potential.
I would like if it were a bit more simpler to understand. Like the combat system, why creeps spawn outside the base, etc. Make it a bit more user friendly.
I don't play Multiplayer that much anymore, I generally just mess around with the editor when I'm bored... but I love seeing new maps, any way we can see a video?
I actually don't have any video recording software :S. You can play it solo, you don't need a big team. It's actually pretty high up the popularity list now, so it shouldn't be hard to find. You could also download it from the link in my sig and create the game and launch it without making it public. So long as they mention my username somewhere, I'd be fine with somebody else making a video, but I doubt anybody will want to take the time for somebody else's game :P.

Yeah, I kinda figured this would be confusing for newcomers. The new patch I mentioned actually adds a tutorial. It's a very simple, straightforward rundown of the game's basic principles (I didn't want it to be too long and didn't want to slow down experienced players), but it does help newcomers get the basic concepts their first time through. I'm also adjusting the terrain slightly to give visual aid in detecting where the creeps are spawning from and where they're trying to go.
I appreciate the feedback.

The map is available here for download: http://www.sc2mapster.com/maps/formation-defense/
I would prefer it if you would play through B-Net to up its popularity, but if, for any reason, that is not an option, use the download provided.
