Essentially, this is a classic Final Fantasy themed map designed for 4 players. The video is just one player due to the incomplete nature of the project and also the horribad nature of the "popularity" system.
The FF ORPG was kind of crappy IMHO. It was just Warcraft 3 with FF in the name. The game linked to TDG was FFF( Final Fantasy Forever ) made by Xalterax. He's making actual games now though.
lol i feel like playing solo as a white mage :P
anyway whats blizzards standpoint on music from other games in sc2? are they allowing it? or is there copy right issues?
apart from that i look forward to the success of this map
As you (might have?) noticed, some of the posts are SLIGHTLY out of date (due to my being in Afghanistan at the time). The "mages" system is no longer an issue (see video: non-mages using mage skills). Just for the sake of the "average joe" forum-goer, I will update the original post tomorrow (I'm in Hawaii so it's still not terribly late here...)
As far as Blizzard's "standpoint", most likely "blah blah blah no copyright blah". Realistically though, the map is locked (barring lolhax) and the works in question are not exactly of a high sales standpoint (don't see a profit in FF soundtracks... or people getting it FREE via playing a Blizzard game). Basically, it's the same standpoint youtube takes. Copyrighted popular works = removal. Copyrighted video game works = ignored.
I loved FFF i was so sad when it never got a new version :(
With this map though... I would try to make it more like FFF... Turn based styles on a multilayer game is so too slow.
The Random battle in FFF worked because it brought everyone into the fight on a fast paste fight.
The map looks like it needs a lot of polishing too!

is TDG the clan that was apart of the FF orpg from wc3? like undeadbudgie or thecorporal or whoever it was?
